Max's lap was probably a outlier (he was 7-8 tenths faster than anyone else in sector 2 but very slow on the straight)

Given the pace of Perez, the McLaren and Mercedes, I think once again McLaren will be the fastest team

This track is very long , so we're probably 2-5 tenths behind them

We did look either in 3rd or 4th place. Hamilton had a case of porpoising and claimed the car was impossible to drive.

so is sainz pushing the engine more?? cause it's a big difference between his lap and Charle's

or is Charles STILL experimenting with set up's??

Charles might have been experimenting at the beginning but he set a pretty good lap and is just above Sainz.

It's only Friday and I suspect Charles is still experimenting (he seems to do a lot of that recently)
But I reckon we are racing the Mercs and maybe 1 RB this weekend.

yeah from the looks of it, we're out of podium contention this weekend unless something drastic happens between FP3 adn quali in regards to our car set up.

the mclarens as usual are lightning quick (eversince their upgrade in Imonla they've turned that car that was 3rd-4th fastest into a race winning machine), and one red bull is fast as well (but we all know maxipad will get a 10 place grid penalty)....so we'll be lucky to finish 4th in the race unless like i said something drastic ( in a good way) happens with our car set up

anyway, onwards and upwards....time will tell

Charles must be still experimenting. Don't think he made a mistake on that lap.

McLaren look like the team to beat with RB in Max's hands too close to call. Charles appears next.

Leclerc asking +6 on the front wing

The car must lack front-end and understeering as hell

It's tipping it down to-day. Will be difficult for the teams to get data especially if a dry race is expected to-morrow.

Well that was uneventful.....apart from a few laps at the beginning most time was spent in the garages. Charles 6th, Carlos no time.
Let's hope it dries up for quali.

Leclerc must sort out his sector 1
Always 2-5 tenths slower than anyone else including Sainz
Sector 1 only has 2 corners, I wonder what is happening

Brundle - “Leclerc over driving the car”

Leclerc takes it personally and goes p2.
