Charles is very strong around Baku, if the upgrades can work at low speed corners and improve traction then I expect at least a podium for him there

Leclerc's pace on medium is very good, he lost around 5 tenths in sector 3 on his last FL due to running wide but still only 3 tenths behind Max

No reason given for the red flag. Early days but Max seems to have got his speed back.

Don't get me wrong, I like Charles, he's a very likeable guy, but he makes too many mistakes, Lewis is going to destroy him next year unless he stops making so many unforced mistakes.

The crash isn't that bad, and it's still FP1 so still plenty of time for him

Sainz on other hand isn't up to pace at the moment

I suppose if you are going to make a mistake this weekend now is the best time. I hope they can get the car ready for P2

Sainz was lucky not to touch the wall on turn 7. He has not been so quick as Charles so far but he managed to keep it on the track!!!
The best times were set on the softs with lower fuel. I think Charles was a match for Max today.

Yes it was from the damage from FP1
They thought it was fixed but once Leclerc was out on track there were still some minor damage

Pace is good, both in quali sims and race sims
Once again very close in race pace between the 3-4 teams

We need both the cars in the mix. WCC is still up for grabs

Did you know Charles Leclerc is the most constant driving guy out there up till now this year? We have had 16 races now and he finished in the top four 12 times. He is the only one to do that. The Ferrari has not been the fastest car by far although it's getting slightly better now, but Charles is still holding a firm 3rd in the championship.
You know what hurts? Making mistakes when it matters. Leclerc hardly ever does that.
Lewis destroying him? That's what people thought Vettel would do too. Guess what happened.

It's hard to judge exactly where we are at as the top 3 are all from different teams and about 0.5 sec between the top 5.
We look good but Baku is a tricky circuit and the simplest mistake could be catastrophic.
Bearman is giving a good account of himself on his first outing in a Haas...very chilled.

I guess Always44 only looks through his rose coloured spectacles at Lewis. We will see.

For that to happen, we need Sainz to be up there as well & atleast 1 DNF from McLaren. I guess it will be close season similar to 2023 where we were fighting with Mercs last year for P3. This time it’s for P1.
