No sign of Charles yet. They must be still working on his car.

Yes he's posted a lap albeit 10th place as opposed to Carlos' 1st.

This is bad for Leclerc, no FP1 time and now with the red flag and Pirelli tyres testing he have no time to optimize car set up

Did Lec went for a lap on mediums?
He went out quickly under 2 min befor the chequer flag and he didn't make it to pass the line before the end of time. So this run was on mediums?
If it was, it was a mistake from the time because he pit too late.
If he went out again on test tires , or just for a launch test its ok.
Anyhow, again we looked good. McL was closer but stilll we looked a bit faster , both on faster laps and on race pace. Hope this continues

    FP2 isn’t representative.

I believe Sainz is in comfortable position (that’s a good sign) who was fast both in FP1 & FP2.

None of the other drivers got a clean lap or nailed a lap. FP3 is important for Max,Leclerc & Norris.

    Oh, I see. Thank you.

With Charles' win în the US, he has an outside chance at the title this year. This weekend is crucial, hope he recovers and wins tomorrow.

His chances at the WDC are pretty slim though. For that to happen he pretty much has to outscore both Max and Lando at every race till the end, preferably WIN all of them, as well as a DNF from Max, and possibly one from Lando as well….that is gonna be tough to achieve (dnf’s) as cars nowadays are pretty reliable. Unless max crashes with max and both are taken out.

What is possible though, is the WCC….and the team is 100% concentrating on this one

Improving their times on more than 10 lap old soft tires is not bad at all.

    McLaren sandbags off

We are losing too much on sector 2+3, not sure if we're eating the tyres too much or car setup favorite more straight line speed rather than cornering speed

3 tenths behind on sector 2 alone is huge

The Ferrari will not get pole, but it's a good racecar. Not the fastest in the slow sections, but surely the fastest in the fast sections, where the overtaking is done.
You can run like the wind, but you'll never outrun the Prancing Horse

Yehh again so anti anticlimatic. From the start of FP1 till 10 min ago we looked steady and fast .We could attack the kerbs , we where fast enough on slow corners and we could lower the lap times with old soft tires. And when we put new ones to go for Qualy sim we where a bit lost. But this is F1 . And in this season we've seeing the performance balance from team to team to change from race to race and even from session to session.
And in the end im happy with how the team have reacted after to summer break . So lets just enjoy whatever happen !!!

Pole technically is not the best place to start here, unless you have a rocketship that can defend the slipstream into turn 1 and run away from there

But overtaking here is very difficult, so I hope we at least get P2-P2

3 tenths behind on short track is huge, we are losing time on the highspeed corners sector 2

Yup… better to be on 2nd row than 1st row here.

Ferrari always struggle in quali on Soft tyres. Hopefully both cars lock 2nd row.

McLaren are untouchable in S2 and S3, Verstapen will be P3, we will be P4 and P5 at best

Max will not qualify higher than P5 unless one of our drivers or McLaren **** the bed in qualifying. Mercedes with their randomness qualifying pace can even out-qualifying him

Pole is not important at this circuit positions 4 a 5 are great very long strait to turn one.Ferrari race pace and tyre management will deliver great points all going well.
