Clearly the penalties dolled out to Norris & co for the false start and the Merc drivers over the tyres was too lenient and not in line with the racing rules.
But why has Horner & Vasseur not had something to say about it?????
I was waiting for the pariah club to activate.

The Merc one they at least tried to give some reasons, they even said it should be a sporting penalty but listed some excuses, nevermind no other team had such issues.....so still unbelievable they got away with it.

The Lando one is really bizarre, they blame him fully and blame him also for making everyone else go, gave no reasons why it happened, yet no sporting penalty, there was a recovery truck on track it was 100% unsafe and totally against all the FIA do to make the racing safer especially in the wet, and he got a tiny fine. I do hope the other teams can appeal this. he should be DSQ from the race.

What is more beneficial for us in our fight with Mclaren? 15-20M more prize money if we win or 10% more wind tunnel time if we end up 2nd?

Max was a beast on the track in Sao Paulo and a 100% deserved the win but there is no denying that there was a bit of luck in play here.

I agree with you that Lando might not have been able to get from 17th to 6th and that he underperformed after the red flag. That does not change the fact that Max was a bit lucky. As for Lando being lucky in qualy + sprint, I don't even think Lando's denies this. Even in the interview people are refering to he says that some times you get lucky and other times you don't.
What annoyed me in his interview, is that he cleanly said ,with an attitude, that it was luck not talent. This was his words and with an attitude. He never mention Max's performance, he was just stunning the luck part.

Lando is crying because he cocked it up 2x during the race. He dosen't have the chops to be WDC....at least not now.

How do you go from P17 to P10 in the first lap without DRS. Oh sure, the Red Flag helped everyone that didn't pit before the Red Flag. The ones that pitted before the Red Flag, hey, that's on you and your team making the call. You make your own luck.

Russell was upset with his team for calling him in BEFORE the Red Flag.

    Could not agree more.
The work is already in place for next year car and in progress (?) for 2026 car. Or it will be.

But at one point we need a championship for so many reasons.

    Both drivers are Brits.

Not if the FIA and Stewards have something to say about it. Max has a target on his back when it comes to penalties. Had it been Max yesterday with one of those penalties, he would have gotten the maximum amount PLUS penalty points added to his license. That's what Max is up against compared to the rest of the other British drivers.

There is already a climate of anger from fans of all teams (except the brit ones of course) about how FIA handles Max as of late. So I doubt they will push it this hard.

Max fully deserved his penalties in Mexico and his penalty in Brazil was pretty clear cut. I don't see him being treated wrongly.

and in Mexico he learned how to overtake Max from Carlos!

I would say, ferrari isn’t concerned about prize money or WT.

All through out the season McLaren is the fastest car, overtaking & winning the title gives immense pleasure over arch rivals & they will be proud of their development progress in this season given where they are in mid season.

1st its not just another place (like from 3d to 2nd) , we are talking about being CHAMPIONS !!!
And more so beating McLaren and with a worst car for the majority of the season ,being able to overtake then in the mid season upgrade fight.
    It will be EPIC !!!!!!

Why was Hulkenberg disqualified when Schumacher got away with being pushed from the gravel in during Nurburgring 2003? Change of rules two decades later?

It happened to Hamilton too when he was craned back onto the track....the other 4 cars that were stuck with him were left in the gravel.....no penalty...nothing...for getting an assistant back onto the track.

Was not against the rules, the rest turned off the engine while Lewis never.

FIA changed the rules/wording after this to make it illegal.

Article 20.1, written when this incident happened states:

"The driver must drive the car alone and unaided"

Obviously, this opens up the rule for interpretation. There is a grey area. It's not just black and white as one would perceive.

Seems the Dutch media did not turn up for it either, 4 Brazilians, 1 French and a photographer was all that was there. I did read most media do not attend the press conference as they are busy in the paddock, and the press conference is fully transcripted anyway so they don't miss anything.
