How realistic are our chances at WCC

I know this is gonna be affected on a lot of factors. i.e. reliability, how these 2 last tracks would suit us....etc,etc
so our team must have the utmost concentration on strategy, pit calls...etc

how are these 2 tracks affect/favor us compared to the other 3 front running team....mclaren, red bull and Merc??

Russel the overrated driver already was flapping his gums saying that he thinks Merc should do good in Qatar....i somehow doubt that. I think they ONLY did good in Vegas due to really cold temps and their car like that scenario cause they heat up their tires more than any other to team. I personally think they'll sturggle

question is, HOW good will mclaren be now without their special rear wing??? and of course we have red bull/Max that could be a factor in this also.

too many unknowns. What do you guys think?? what are our chances at clinching the WCC??

We will probalby have no chance when Charles and Carlos take each other out.....

Reality IMO we 30% chance but if a McLaren was to DNF then it's deffo on.

well, let's hope that doesn't happen....although after last weekend, Charles seems pretty buggered off. Hope they work whatever they have between them and put the team FIRST, as we need as many points as possible.....the other variables we cannot control, obviously.

I would say on paper it's McLaren's to lose.
We need maximum points in the next two races and McLaren to come no higher than 4th in one of them.
But there is also the Sprint race to take into consideration................................
Then it all depends on how successful Fred is at calming our drivers down.............
maybe this latest spat will fire them both up to drive the car to it's absolute maximum.
It's all in the power of the God's but F1 is all twists and turns........ after all F1 backwards is "if"

Sainz drives for Sainz ; not Ferrari after he got the boot in the butt ! If it were to help the team alone ; for Ferrari; he probably would DNF to thank them . As soon as Lewis gets #8 I believe Sainz will be welcomed back. Ferrari will for sure give Lewis their best car they can put out.

    pretty much this

the Macca is just too strong at Qatar ( they almost won it last year )

and unfortunately Macca stole one of our strong tracks with illegal wings ( Baku ). That's the difference in the championship right there.

not true, if both races finish like Vegas (ignoring the sprint race for a minute), that would be enough.

We don't need "maximum points" such as 1-2s, it's much tighter than that.

That would work but Macca finishing 6th & 7th or similar for two races I'm not sure that will happen.
They will be fired up to throw caution to the wind we need to do the same.......it's still all to play for.

yeah, but don't forget we've changed our car from last year quite a bit, especially the new floor we introduced in Monza which is giving us a lot more downforce especially in the high speed corners, which this track as quite a bit of it

so we'll see how we gonna stack up against macca and red bull this weekend

than we better pray for a DNF from one of the maccas in either Qatar or abu dhabi

    i hope man.

i think we are good where you need to ride the curbs a lot too. And temps will be high but not as high as last year.

I think still we have a good chance. Both Ferraris have been slugging it out, however Piastri seems to be misfiring off late. With one of remaining two weekends being sprint weekend, still plenty to play for.

I’m afraid we need more then that…..we need at least one of them to not finish….DNF
And even then will be a stretch….but we’ll push till the last lap

So 21 points eh? Doable but we need Ferrari to execute a perfect weekend next and macca to have their worst race of the season

Also, Charles is only 8 pts behind Norris….that would mean so much to him if got 2nd in WDC

Like I said in another thread, I'm not counting my chickens just yet.

This is very doable for Ferrari. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
It's not how start but how you finish.

they don't have to have "their worst weekend", 4-5th isn't a terrible weekend for them. An identical finish from the USGP in Austin would give Ferrari the championship. That isn't a ridiculous ask.

coincidentally that's last time we had a normal race, no rain, no sprint, decent track, was in the USGP. And it finished Charles, Carlos, Max.

Very much doable considering track characteristics + temps will be back to normal (not like cold temps). Ferrari should focus on 1-2 finish. Leclerc & Sainz should play team game. Hopefully they do.

Yes Ferrari should concentrate on a 1-2, I don’t care who of the Ferrari drivers wins it. This should be their goal.
Next we need Merc, red bull (max) to outqualify both McLaren’s…..

I know it’s a lot to ask, but if this happens then we’ll have one hand on the WCC trophy

Mclarens are due for at least one DNF.
I don't see why they can't have one.

We'll see. At the very least we'll keep sight of our business and we'll fight the fight. And we'll know we did our best. I will be happy with that.
