Only interesting part of this sprint is Lewis vs Charles.
Idea of the sprint is to push flat out, but teams are managing the tyres & the pace etc. Then what does the race event bring in?
So ,the result by itself might not look good, but in this track and on those temperatures, if think the performance was promising.
We anticipate much much worse??!!!
Performance is good compared to last year & McLaren were struggling at the end of the stint because of temps.
Leclerc was told to do Lico for the last lap.
Quali will be the key here for any chance to attack McLaren (strategically) tomorrow.
But it’s still a difficult task for Ferrari to clinch WCC. They need McLaren 1 DNF & Ferrari 1-2 finish here.
Pace is quite good there
Unfortunately yesterday SQ and the track nature prevented us to move up more
Qualifying will be very late with much lower temps so I don't expect much, the car is an understeer mess in low temp
Charles managed his pace well but we are well off McLaren and probably Russell as well. Sainz kept in the DRS train purely because Lando was giving it to Piastri and then Russell.
Mclaren have had a 26 year drought for the WCC compared to the current 16 years for Ferrari...
Charles keeping the new floor ?
Low temps is killing us...
In the last lap Leclerc went 4 tenths faster in sector 1, but 2 tenths slower in sector 2, but mile faster than everybody in sector 3
Hopefully we can fire up the tyres enough in sector 1 without sacrifice sector 2 + 3
McLaren is not showing their hands yet
Russell still pretty quick , will probably qualifying in the top 3 again
Max (and Red Bull) seems back to pace this qualifying, even Perez are now in the top 10, only 1 tenth behind Max
Very close between top 4 teams, one insane lap can put us on pole, one mistake can also put us on P8
Am I talking to alone myself here?![]()
2nd row would also be OK
