According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Leclerc could get a 10-place grid penalty for a battery pack change... He missed the first 30 minutes of FP1 because the mechanics had to change his battery pack. Now we need to understand if they used a new or an old battery pack.

We don't know yet. If they used an old battery pack he won't get a penalty.

    Seems to be official.
    Yeah it's over, we needed a 1-2.
Of course it had to happen at the last race.
    ****ing sucks.
This is the longest ever constructors' championship drought: it's been 5,866 days since we won the 2008 title, six days longer than the gap between our 1983 and 1999 wins.

Well if it is a 10 place grid drop what was already a slim chance turns into practically impossible barring a miracle.

We expected McLaren to DNF & weekend with some trouble. Instead it turned out to be Ferrari.

Away from the obvious it was emotional to see the brothers Leclerc on the track together.
I was willing Arthur round frightened he might have an off......last thing we need this weekend.
I needed have worried it was brother Charles who had battery trouble......this is all we need.

I get it .it's not over untiuts over. BUT we need more then a miracle.
We have to be either dominating fast or a McL dnf.
    Both scenarios minimum possibilities

Shame on Ferrari for stepping Carlos down on his last race just to present the Lecrerc brothers picture for marketing purposes

    So some MIRACLE scenarios:

    1) Jihadi terrorists assasinate both Norris and Piastri.
    2) Both Mclaren drivers get taken out of the race and DNF.
    3) Both Mclaren's don't start the race.
    4) The FIA or stewards penalize both Mclarens cars and start at the back of the grid.
    5) Both Mclaren drivers get a stomach virus from eating the local food and are incapable of racing their cars!

Barring a some act of God that prohibits the Mclaren team from racing,.......YEAH, we need a BIG FREAKIN MIRACLE!!!!!!
It's not how start but how you finish.

No, of course it’s not, but it will be extremely hard now with a 10 place penalty
F1 is such a sport that ANYTHING can happen
I’m sure both drivers will fight till the very last lap

We are only allowed to use 2 per season….it is a very tall order that the first battery is in better condition than the second one

Much longer for McLaren mate…..so we’re still ahead of them
We STILL ARE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM IN F1 HISTORY HAVING 16 CHAMPIONSHIPS

If you want to win championships, these kind of things are not acceptable.

We should have plenty of data gathered during FP1 & FP2 so with some number crunching and tweaking we could have a much faster car to-morrow.

It should have done with better planning, not at this point of time when team is fighting for WCC.

yeah, like the wet race we had in Brazil.....they should have put new of everything in Charles car....as a wet race is a lottery for everyone

i know, woulda, coulda, shoulda....it's all done and dusted now

2nd in WCC is still good, we get more wind tunnel time for next year

WCC is anyways gone, I hope if leclerc gets that P2 over overrated Norris would be a big motivation for him going into next year.

totally agree on the overrated Norris....it'd be nice if Charles would get 2nd in the WDC

Ferrari have done well mid year they were in a world of pain so they have recovered extremely well.I have no doubts if the slump did not happen then ferrari would comfortably be leading Wcc and Charles and sainz would have been challenging max for WDC securing P2 is now the target for both championships if possible. As for WCC miracles can happen you never know it's not over until the chequered flag drops.
