Whoa there let's be quietly optimistic until we see how McLaren, RB & Mercedes stack up against us.
I still see it as a 4 horse race until we can measure ourselves up against our competitors.
Let's hope we come out on top but I feel the others are not resting on their laurels.

i tend to agree with you on this one, and unlike some fellas on here who are full blown of optimism, i've learned over the years to take all rumors with a LOT of grains of salt, as i used to be one of those people that got worked up on the rumors, preseason testing results.....etc, etc.....to be really deflated come first race of the year.

so for now i am cautiously optimistic, "plan for the worst, hope for the best" kind of thing.....and wait until 5 to 6 races have passed, and by then we should have a CLEARER answer as to where we stack up against the competition, as like you said it will probably be a FOUR horse race this season.

It will be a VERY exciting season, one that we haven't seen in a LONG time, that's for sure.
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

McLaren is the first team to unveil its 2025 Formula 1 challenger, but as is familiar during launch season, it has kept many details tightly under wraps. But a handful of key developments hint at what the Woking-based squad has focused on.

I gather that McLaren have changed every component part of the car. I thought we were the only team doing that this year. No such luck.

This goes to prove that the strategy that is followed by our team is the right one.

The VF-25 had a slight incident when the sidepod cover blew off during its shakedown at Silverstone.

These two teams will likely finish 1-2 at the end of this season. Not sure in which order though.

Formula 1 is to try to spice up the Monaco Grand Prix by forcing drivers to make at least two pit stops.

Criticism has been growing in recent years that the historic race has become pedestrian, because overtaking is close to impossible on the tight street circuit in the Mediterranean principality.

Bosses agreed on Tuesday to "increase the numbers of mandatory pit stops in the race", according to a statement from governing body the FIA.

The FIA said the plan would be "further discussed" at F1's sporting advisory committee.

But insiders have told BBC Sport the plan is for drivers to have to do two pit stops and use all three available tyre compounds during the Monaco race.

In the event of a wet race, drivers would still have to do two stops, although tyre choice would be more flexible.

Other changes agreed at the F1 Commission, which comprises the FIA, F1 and the 10 teams, were a confirmation of tougher tests on wing flexibility to be introduced this season.

Those on rear wings will be introduced from the start of the season in Australia next month, and on front wings from the Spanish Grand Prix in June.

A driver cooling system to be used in races classed as dangerously hot has also been finalised.

Refueling helps the excitement with split strategies, but I guess it's not returning anytime soon

i hope so too, although Sainz was good enough for me along side Charles....but money talks i guess

ALL I CARE about is, the WCC trophy to come back to Maranello after 17 years....WDC is a bonus for me

lets hope that both drivers will bring enough points by the end of the year so that would happen

Sr Lewis getting his 8th WDC @ Ferrari is for sure the dream of millions of Ferrari fans! And let the WCC come along also. Charles can be the missing link.

Who freakin cares!!! This whole turbo hybrid formula was for cleaner emissions on a global scale since the developed countries governments are screaming about climate change due to emissions.

Illmor would join in the V10 era IF V10's came back. Cosworth as well.

Oh, and these V10's would run on E-fuel which means 0 emissions. Problem solved from a global scale.

Who cares? all the engine manufactures I guess....

I love how you just decide who would make V10's without any sort of knowledge lol

V10 is no longer relevant, it won't be coming back.

Ilmor were swallowed up by Merc a long time ago, but sure they are coming back with a V10 hahahaha

There's only 3 engine manufacturers in F1 currently-->MercedesAMGF1, Ferrari and Honda. Renault is out and switching to MercedesAMGF1.

How many other engine Manufacturers would join a V10 era running in E-fuel. I mentioned 2 of them already.

How many people would come to the venues to see and hear V10's running again on E-fuel. I would and many others would as well.
