Mclarens rear wing for Jeddah. It's probably illegal to one "Walmart Newey" expert here on the forum.

After 10 years of PU hybrid era I don't think anyone will have an advantage

    I have to agree
Every engine manufacturer knows these power units inside out….apart from Renault…lol
So no one will have any BIG advantages cime 2026….they will all be really close to each other

Aero on the otnsr hand will play a massive role in those rule changes….whoever gets it right or finds a trick or a loophole will pay dividends to them

The only benefit ferrari will have in 2026 engine reg is the mandatory single turbo rule, no one can use split turbo as they use now. Ferrari is the only team not using split turbo in this hybrid PU era

I'm sorry but this thinking is the exact reason why Ferrari didn't come out on top in any reg changes. There is ALWAYS a chance to gain an advantage if you think outside the box. If we'll just tell oursleves that nobody will find anything more than others we will always be surprised in a bad way. I remember Ferrari saying there can't be car as dominant as Ferrari in 2000s and then came Mercedes and then came Red Bull. There is always a way.

i think he means on the engine side specifically.

however, from my understanding, Ferrari did a good job adapting to the biofuels when it was introduced in 2022.

Formula 1 will not return to V10 engines or any naturally aspirated powertrains in the near future, with the F1 Commission confirming its commitment to the power unit regulations that will come into force next season.

That's a short term issue. It's possible the V10 could return in 2029 when the next formula change will happen.

This is why GM will become an official engine supplier, approved by the FIA, in 2029 in hoping that a V8 or V10 engine formula will arise.

#Amus Ferrari and Red Bull are behind schedule with the development of the new drive for 2026. It is rumored that Mercedes is well on the way to delivering the best power unit. Analogous to 2014
Unfortunately there are a lot of rumors like this ,exactly the same as 2013 had. And we know what happened.
It would be an epic fail from all F1 ( and Ferrari especially) if they let Merc ( politically) to present the best PU by far!!!!!!

so what is actually changing to the Power unit for 2026??
to my understanding the ICE will be the same as well as the turbo, NO??

the only difference (that i thought) is that teh MGU-H will be dropped and the MGU-K and battery store will be increased, NO??

if that is the case, then i don't think a certain team....hint, hint...Merc will have a major advantage in anything....or will they??

Merc do seem to be very against any changes to the spec for 2026 while Ferrari and Red Bull seem to be willing, so it's maybe just a leap from those comments to create this rumour as I doubt anyone really knows who is where with the engine.

i agree, and in 2014 they were developing that as far back as 2007 according to some sources.

It's just we where hearing the same rumors back then and we here where making the same comments like " there's no way they know who is where " " Ferrari are masters on making engines " etc. End it turned out that all these rumors where absolutely right.
So when inread the same things I'm scared/ disappointed. NOT AGAIN !!!!!

Fred Vasseur and Charles Leclerc at the Grand Prix Paul Ricard Historique 2025.

Leclerc and Jean Alesi drive the Ferrari 330 P4 around the track.

Nice videos on YouTube of the event.

The 1st good rumors I read about 2026
Ferrari's 2026 engine program has met and exceeded expectations. There's a lot of satisfaction, and everything is going well. No delays or problems. The rumors of a delayed Ferrari 2026 engine are absolutely false!

This doesn't mean that La Rossa will have a super engine that will annihilate the competition. However, the Italian team isn't afraid of Mercedes, and its goal is to beat them.
#F1Among the reasons that convinced Hamilton to come, as part of the negotiations to arrive in Maranello, is the excellent impression he has of the 2026 project, a championship on which the Briton is banking heavily.

Perez brings big money in sponsorship and sales of merch. Good for Cadillac if true.
