Pretty much what some of us have been thinking, feeling and expressing for years if not decades...........but what do we know?

Luca di Montezemolo takes a stab at the Scuderia:

I respect Luca very much and for me he was the epitome of a Ferrari president, BUT let's not forget that the downfall started with him on the wheel. What did he do with the 2014 PUs and all that from Merc started earlier etc??!! End how did he handle the Brawn comeback failure that ended of him creating Brawn gp and then to Merc dominating everything?????
SO ,although I agree with what he says ,in general, about the team, but he contributed pretty much on this himself!!!!!
    FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!

i don't fault him for those 2014 engines. These engines aren't Ferrari.

He didnt argue about them , he didnt veto on them . He just accepted them . Bacause long before they introduced, there was the political race behind doors . Thats the presidents "track" to fight. And there he fall short ,and since then the political power of Ferrari has droped massively and no matter how many presidents / TPs have changed , no one have achieved to restore it !!!
So again not blaming him completely but he has his share of fault , thats why its looks a bit weird to hear him say such things .
    FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!

If those engines aren’t for Ferrari, then why didn’t LDM go against it? Ferrari had the Veto power.

i don't know. Luca should have vetoed it. I would have.

It's a strange move for the guy who brought the front engined V12 back to the production line.

he also shouldn't have pushed out Michael so quick as the rumours suggest.

we don't know the full story on much of this

If I remrember correctly, 2014 engines were meant to be 4 cylinders. Ferrari (maybe even Mercedes) pushed for at least V6 and got them. That was enough for us for "the good of the sport" as we've hear many many times after that from Ferrari leaders. We became weak, bland, soft and too friendly.

Oliver Oakes, TP for Alpine, has resigned with immediate effect. Briatore will fill in for the time being.

Colapinto will do 2 days of testing at Zandvoort starting tomorrow for Alpine.

Ferrari did very well in WEC at Spa and also in the GT class.

    Another flag raised at Maranello.

    Meanwhile in F1...........oh wait.

    The F1 cars are overweight.
The F1 cars are too long.
The F1 cars are too wide.
The Pirelli tires for F1 are a joke
.......all to make the "show" better for this circus.

BoP in F1? Who needs a BoP in F1 when you got all the factors I just mentioned.

    Oh, there's also:

    - fuel efficiency in F1
    - limited use of F1 engines via an allocation allotment

But then again, that's your opinion.

How Mclaren cools or heats their tires to keep their tires in the operating window.

Oh, he's an F1 Technical analyst and on Twitter too......so according to our forum expert, it probably means nothing.

    [Rosario Giuliana]

A series of slides illustrating the McLaren MCL39's rear braking system, where fluid dynamics are used for both cooling and aerodynamics. A separation of internal flows with multiple functions, including controlling tyre overheating by cooling the inside of the rim.

if it's liquid cooling it would be illegal.

it would have to be something that is in between a liquid and a solid as it's changing state. (and in the process magically absorbing heat)

which to me, would still be a grey area, but hey, the car isn't red so it's fine.

if it's as simple as the air flow in those pics, i would think the teams would have already had their own solutions ( or would be very close )

It's an evolution design with many ideas......not even other F teams have it figured out.

    It's not liquid. It's airflow.
