Let's see it's early days with a new suspension concept I personally always expected the first few races to be a challenge as we bed in and understand the car. Mclaren were nowhere near challenging until their b-spec launch and then dominated so a tough race tomorrow doesn't suddenly write us off for the entire season.

The confidence was clear in the team, Leclerc didn't say he could fight for pole if they didn't have the pace, he also only had a used set for his final run so the real gap is not 7 tenths.
OK, you have a point, but you know this team as well as I do.
Don't you see a pattern in there behavior? Every season since the last WDC there is a distinctive pattern, they just can't produce a championship winning car

Did he? Must have not noticed he got out qualified.

    Strange view of things.

    Also Sainz

Concerning result after being one of the good teams at the end of last year. Very concerning. Not a good look.

Well, Sainz was off by a tenth compared to Hamilton's time and Gasly by a thousandth off Hamiltons time as well.

Yeah, Saniz in a new car, new steering wheel and a new team. Interesting.

And he was how much off Albon in the SAME car?

Comparing to other cars is kinda dumb.

Hamilton was off 2/10's compared to Leclerc's time.

Sainz was off 3/10's compared to Albons time.

Not bad in my book where 1 driver has no WDC titles while the other has 7 WDC titles when comparing their times to their team-mates.

I refuse to believe they reached peak performance with that car. As for 2026 reg I really see no point because the car will be very different from the 2025 regs. We were fighting for pole positions with last season's car and could have won constructers title. Let's just hope it's the nature of this track because this form really is embarrassing.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Charles Leclerc tried to explain Ferrari’s Saturday collapse. “Overall, the performance was not the same as yesterday. I think I know the reason for this drop-off, but we need to analyze the data. We did the right thing—we needed to sacrifice some performance. Obviously, it’s never something you want, but it was the right decision for this weekend. But I won’t go into more detail.”
So Leclerc did know the reason for our disaster qualifying

I think it's either a full wet set-up or there are some hidden (?) things we don't know

F3 was closed early due to low visibility and a couple of red flags.

Supercars also was red flagged due to low visibility.

Think we have added a lot more downforce on the car for the rain than the other teams, but went a bit too far. Look like we are going to be starting too far back to beat the maccas, but anything can and usually does happen in the wet and if we have the downforce we are going to be in a much better position.

Echo this post either we could be screwed, or could have made the right gamble: the race will tell!

Rain Chaos at AusGP: F2 Race Cancelled, F1 Adapts

Heavy rainfall at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne caused significant disruptions, notably the cancellation of the Formula 2 feature race due to safety concerns. The Formula 3 race was also red-flagged amidst the downpour. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the F1 community showed resilience in the face of adverse weather, although specific claims about Ferrari's preparation for wet conditions remain unconfirmed.

It is even worse when you take into account that the car improved alot towards the end of last season. I think we went backwards.
