Yep, great quali pace but come race day, it's a different story due to a fully fueled car and tire degradation goes up.

I'll be happy with P4 & P5 IF Ferrari can keep those positions. Anything better would be a cherry on top.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Because the others in front are strong too and as Lec showed us even with better pace you can't overtake easily.
For me I want at least to be among the fastest on pure pace.
This will be a good starting point to evolve the car later .
Vasseur from the beginning had pointed out that this year was will be quite aggressive with the upgrade plan and that they choose this particular type of front suspension and general car layout, with this point of view .To be able to have large margin with updates!!!
    Let's see
Quite strange first 2 races till now with lots of overturns!!!
no, it's not strange, the Ferrari let us down again for another year!!!!

because of our "pace" isn't there, Sauber will beat us like they did in Melbourne! That was our true "pace"!

It's all tyre management and prep at the moment whoever gets a read on the tyres across different tracks and conditions will be in the driving seat.

    yes, because they over react.

pure passion thought i was a fool when i said after Melbourne the race pace is in this car.

We saw it in the sprint today. It's there.

but no, i'm a fool, our true pace is what we saw in Melbourne, that wasn't an outlier wet street "race". that was our true "pace", the car has "problems", it's slower than Sauber

qualifying is still a weakness, i will say

and especially around here, dirty air will destroy your race

and if qualifying is a weakness, this season it will cost you massively with how close the cars are

this would be a good post if you prefaced it with "in qualifying". Race pace is there.

Ferrari changed a lot more in their car from last year than McLaren, so there is still a lot more room for optimization, that's the good news.

McLaren car looks very hard to beat but hopefully things will get better for Ferrari in the upcoming races without having such avoidable issues.

You do realize, we just had the 2nd (second) race of a 24 races season, right?

Any idea how many things can (and probably will) change till the end?
