Still early , but not looks like the car transformed with the updates. Still a bit tricky to drive it and a bit hard to rotate.
Lets see how things will unfold

yeah, it was still FP1 and NOT relevant to the conditions we'll have in quali and race as it will be a bit cooler.
but we'll see how Lewis and charles will do in FP2 and take some conclusions from that

but most importantly we'll see how we'll be in Q3 when it will matter most.

Ham last lap was good until he made two mistakes in S3.
There is pace, but the car is extremely hard to drive

As it looks right now , we might end up 2nd team , but quite behind McL.
Till now (i say ultil now not a conclusion ) looks like the upgrades doesnt give us much
we look to have committed to qualy pace , and still 0.5+ behind

If anyone here really thinks that Ferrari is capable of delivering an upgrade that will propel them to the top or at least put them on the safe ballpark with the McLaren, then they are simply not following this team for long.

so all these big upgrades and we're still pretty slow and struggling

Yup. Since 2009 they are always on the chasing side. Never been on top to dictate the pace for a complete season.
Never seen such upgrade from them which something similar to McLaren-Miami 2024.

That middle sector from McLaren is absolute crazy. Shows how strong is the front end & they are able to keep the grip & tyres alive.

Trying to watch race race but its abit tricky with different tires and different tire age.
As much as i could see , i think that Lec looked fastest no mediums vs Rus /Nor on softs. HAm on softs was more or less there( with rus-nor)
And then Pias came with softs (new?) after he started on hards and he is by far the fastest , but i would say unusual fast , so dont know how he was running .
But i might have mis read all this !!

Just waiting for our resident connoisseur to show up and rate our posts. And then post outlandish theories like front pullrod giving 1 second lap time gain or lowering the ride height giving 5 tenths and yada yada yada

McLaren is the complete package. They are just fast everywhere, with the middle sector being their strongest one.

To beat them, it would take another superhuman effort, like Max did a race ago.

they are BLISTERING fast thr0ugh that middle sector....and somehow i doubt their wings will be clipped....once the TD will be enforced come Spain....even if they will get say hampered a little bit, by then they'll have such a big lead in WCC that will be hard for US or any other team to recover.
