2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix - Practice & Qualifying Thread

Here we go, another F1 Grand Prix weekend
Let’s hope the team can build on the positive weekend and pace we had last race
McLaren will prolly still be the team to beat, but hopefully for now we can be the clear second team; I know second is not what Ferrari is here for but for now it is what it is….better than what we’ve been at the beginning

Let’s hope for a clean productive free practices and quali

    Forza Ferrari
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Tough track I'd say, probably fastest street circuit. Max's 2021 Q3 lap is one of the best Qauli laps I've ever seen, shame it was never completed

Norris was on a 28.5 lap on mediums and then lifted of the throttle on start finish. McLaren on a different planet.

He was 2 tenths up on Charles before the final sector, so he was on a 28.8-28.9 lap

Same problem as last year. Struggling to generate heat on the softest compound Pirelli can offer.

Medium vs Soft, marginal improvement in the first sector, a tenth in the sector 2 and another tenth in the final sector. Others improved quite substantially when they bolted the soft rubber

Before the red flag, everyone was on the long runs, and McLaren was faster than Ferrari on the straights.

So, we have no answers to them in the twisty fast sector and can't catch them on the straight.

Yeah, it's not looking good. As suspected, the Red Bull/Max is up there, and we all know that Mercedes will turn up the wrecks in qualifying. Right now, the prospect for tomorrow and Sunday is not looking positive.

Lewis again struggling with the car.

Agree with Lewis. I’m starting to feel, he’s not the right choice for Ferrari. Anyways our car is not that good though, whoever the driver doesn’t bring any magic bullet.

It's the floor, just run it lower!!! If our forum expert can figure that one out, then why can't Ferrari? Are they stupid?

I'm not so worried about Charles . The car is not a winning car, but Charles extracts everything it has out of it.
But Lewis is starting to worry me. 5 or even 6 tenths is way too much slower than Charles. And I see no improvement, it even seems to be getting worse....he has to find something to be as close as Carlos was.

From the onboard, whenever he pushes the car, the rear end of his car gets unstable. And in high speed corners, he's getting massive understeer. Charles on the other hand, is quite content with the unstable rear end. He was running plus 4 FW, which is quite crazy for a car with an unstable rear.

Slowly Lewis is finding out that, Ferrari is not an easy car to drive. And he is one of the most adaptable driver in F1.

I'm telling what I'm seeing on track. You, on the other hand, seems to be living in a some kind of LALA land, where everything is fine.
