I swear, some of you people are insane. 4 races into the season and already telling Mclaren to apoint a number 1 driver. Serously, what is the point? They would not even do it in 2024 where it would have actually made sense to make Lando the clear number 1. If Lando would be leading the championship mid season you people would cry about Mclaren picking a number one and would claim they should just let them race. It is so obvious some of you have a clear bias. Charles is god emperor on this forum and everybody seems to hate Lando and Carlos. Does not matter what these 2 do, you will claim the opposite.

Something we have to take into consideration is Lewis generally likes to try extreme setups and there isn’t a good baseline for this car. In the last pre ground effect regs he drove a car year after year which had a great baseline so something always to go back to but our car you just can’t do that, or the Mercedes he drove in the past few years was incredibly difficult to find that sweet spot and he was always trying extreme things to get performance.
Looking at the McLaren and how easy it is to drive regardless of what Piastri and Norris say at times it’s glued to the track, it’s fast out the gate and he would probably beat the both of them given the chance in that car. The reality is our car is horrible to drive and Lewis can’t drive those cars, Max can, Charles can and I think Russell showed he could do a better job driving those cars than Hamilton also so unless you have a near perfect fast out of the gate machine for Hamilton to drive you’re looking at this every other week or so and we all knew this from the outset and that’s why so many of us were opposed to it. In China he found something that worked but neither himself or the team can replicate it and that’s the biggest issue of these cars.

Leclerc is an emperor because he is Ferrari and always thinking and acting about the team. If Leclerc leaves (hope not ) some day most of us here won't " follow" him . It's just till now he is the only driver that is 100 % Ferrari born and raised. So it's very logical to rate him so high.That and thay his one of the best drivers of the grid.
Carlos. Everyone here was happy when he came but after mid 22 when (with Binotto ) we start watching a huge effort from the team (then there where many Spanish team.members) to push Sainz to deliver a result when Lec could clearly deliver more , again it was logical to start felling that he was not good for the team (in general) and he (and his team / family )only cared for his personal results.
As for Norris , it's that he's acting quite arrogant a lot of times (like Russel ) that's why a lot of people dislike him. + he's made so many mistakes even when he has a car so good that he won't have to outperform it to deliver (like Lec ,or Max has to do some times).

personally, i think that Oscar is the better driver than nossis is. he's calm, fast and delivers when it matters, wereas Norris just cracks under pressure and makes silly costly mistakes
but that is just me i guess.
like i said time and time again this year, if by whatever reason we are not championship contenders year(which i REALLY HOPE WE ARE), then i'm really rooting for either Max or Oscar to win the championship.

Ι will never root for any other driver if not a ferrari driver !!! I understand what you say and i alsowill be more content if Oscar outpace Nor but thats it and nothing more . From the current drivers i most "dislike" Norris and Russel and then Ves. I think they are too arrogant for my taste. But i respect all drivers !! 100%
Just i like some more then others and Lec is by far on the top of my like list .

And I agree with yiu on Charles, he is the nicest guy on the grid, he’s a through and through Ferrari guy….he doesn’t just want to be a world champion, he wants to be a Ferrari world champion, and I truly hope that will happen for him one day, as that is the most important wish that he has

I think it was a great drive by Charles here, to put that car on the podium.
Both he and Max probably extracted something more out of the cars they had.
Dont see it changing the championship fight, but I hope we can stop doubting Charles. Give him a faster car and he will be winning races.

We are all with you Charles on this one, we are all waiting and see if McLaren will lose performance due to the more stringent rules on the wings. Hopefully they’ll be the most affected by this as well as our updates that will work ( this time) and bring us a lot closer to them and challenge them for wins.
If all goes to plan, then we might have a season to look forward to…..if not I’ll be rooting for Oscar or max if we cannot challenge for wins and championships
