Cool. Ham and wolf to RP then. Vettel retires or goes to Merc.

Charles P9. that was our maximum.

But I'm confident of Charles's race pace, it's better than the likes of Albon and Mclarens, maybe TP as well.

Ferrari doing their best to drop down the order over the year. Like clockwork.

Oh yeah, that way Ferrari will only be down 1.2 seconds to Pole instead of 1.7. World of difference!

Yeah, but still 1.5 behind Mercedes. And it was really close. Norris only 0.003 in front of Charles in P8.

Certainly not to you, and it's not that surprising either.

You do realize he is joking, right? If they signed Bottas, why wouldn't they sign Hamilton? Why would Wolff want to leave Mercedes? And why would Mercedes want to leave? They are the best team and is winning titles, they are proving that they are the king of motorsports and of engine and chassis. Winner never leaves unless your name is Rosberg.

OK. I thought I saw him pit in front of Lewis. He was also complaining about “some weird behavior” of the car as he came out for the second run.

Last year Vettel did 21.284 in the sector 1, this year Leclerc 21.778. And unlike the aero, the engine power is important in every sector. So Ferrari is giving away at least 4-5 tenths every where. Which does explain the gap and our current position.

They can improve the aero with new parts, but no amount of new aero parts will make up for that power deficit.

Do you have the numbers for last year sector's?

We have certainly gone backwards, we all know that but the fact Mercedes have taken another step forwards really hurts. I'd rather measure our performance relative to last year than what we see this year with our opponents. Because before we beat them we have to find at least parity with last year first.

Thank you! Mercedes weren't lying when they said we were half a second faster down the straights huh lol

Honestly though i don't know whether i feel better or worse looking at those times...the real kicker here is no matter what we try we aren't going to get that kind of performance back over the next 18 months and that really hurts

How can we be two tenths slower than the ****ing alpha tauri in sector one! (and the renaults!)

this goes far beyond fuel flow regs

Worth trying from this point forward, IMO. Forget Q and focus on race pace, tyre selection, and strategy. We will be likely missing out on data collection, though.
