You could delve further and realise no matter the car size and year that overtaking at Monaco is a very low number.

Or you could post something that shows exciting races filled with overtaking? I guess you will find that hard tho as your response was to post a video of Max being let passed by 4 driver as something special.

Now we're comparing Monaco to other tracks with regards to on-track overtaking.

    Ummm, that's a no brainer.

If Monaco was not in Europe, it would've been gone 2 decades ago

And we are just only 5 points for 2nd place in constructors. Unfortunately McL is too far away.

Why wouldn't we still be slower than McLaren? Did we bring upgrades to this track?

Decent result. This entire weekend was actually a pleasant surprise. We need to get back to fighting for poles and wins like this ASAP!

I dont recall ever saying it was an exiting race even when Charles won it.

We cannot deny the glaring problem with this track even though Charles won last year.
He won it on merit by doing a great job during qualifying, but there was not much of a race on race day.

I know, it never is, it is a borefest usually, unless it rains or driver mistakes when one is being chased

But it is what it is, all for glamour and show

Onwards and upwards…curious to see how we stack up against McLaren, and red bull in Spain….and should I even mention Mercedes? They’ve been the laughing stock of the paddock this race

Still its very narrow . Remember '92 with Senna /Mansel >Again with smaller cars then today and huge difference in pace , still unable to overtake .And again in 2001 with Coulhard / Bernoldi . Its just to narrow !!!
But on the other hand it has the most exciting qualify . Cars on the edge passing millimeters from the barriers. And that piscine S , the way you look the cars comes and takes the s the direction shift , for me the most thrilling pass of a corner EVER !!!

Lost opportunity for an undercut as Norris was approaching back packers, and Hamilton in there which would cause a problem for him to stop. They weirdly stopped Hamilton and made it easy for McLaren.

Wasn't close enough to undercut when they hit traffic as Norris would have just pitted the next lap.

Ricardo Adani makes way to many communication call mistakes he did it last year and now again he and lewis are not working .Adani is a nervous wreck and has no place as a race engineer especially for Hamilton he must be replaced the relationship is untanible.

Found the following comment on Reddit about the race. I think it sums ups today's race very well :)

"The next time you feel useless in life, remember that Monaco has a DRS zone"

Monaco could get rid of that chicane after Portier and make that DRS zone longer so we could see more on-track overtakes for starters.

Monocco is a race put on for the rich and beautiful a glam show and because of the glam it's regarded as a fabulous victory to those who win.POLE at this venue usually leads to a win.Challenge the leader into turn 1 and you will have a formula 2 result cartage. As verstappen said 2 stops or 10 stops you can not race here.

Yeah they should get the rid of the "Nouvelle chicane" and extend the back straight all the way to "Portier", and modify it to make it slower. But I fear that this is impossible, for safety purposes and lack of run-off space.

IF you got rid of the Nouvelle Chicane, then it's Portier all the way to the swimming pool with the DRS zone gets extended thereby making more on-track overtakes.

Yeah no way they could do this, would be super dangerous really.

yeah i don't think you can, you'd go back to having that little kink there like in the old days. And the possibility of cars going into the harbour like they used to
