Many of the f1 championships have done way too similar moves like that, sometimes you need to make moves like that to win races...

And what strange behavior from the car/tires
At the beginning with full tank and medium tires we where the fastest and with the best degradation. And on hards with lighter car , being behins Pia we didnt destroy the front tires but the rears ???!!!!
And we clearly didnt have the top speed againt Pia by far. The only possibility was for Lec to exit the last corner under 0.5s witch was pretty difficult. Even with 0.6 he couldnt catch Pia to try a late brake. Pia did it because he had so much more speed before braking that even under braking he was gaining meters to Lec!!!!
Its sad because it was the 1st race we where on par with McL and i coyld even say a bit faster.
We had the opportunity to get the maximum points to keep the hopes up for a possibility to try for a championship. Now its all gone !!!!

Hard on tyres to follow close. If only LeClerc defended against Piastri like he did against Perez at the end I feel race would have followed the pattern of the 1st stint and he woukd pull clear. Can see Piastri was not as fast as Sainz closed in on them all. Sainz went fot gold at the end if had just pulled in behind LeClerc he would likely have taken him next time past the start.

What part of "more than five turns" while studying the Monza track map did you not read? Ferrari can always do okay on tyres so long as the layout doesn't get too interesting.
