It doesnt matter as much for us, as we have seen we are extremely easy on our softs. much more so than McLaren (see Malaysia)

Great lap from Fernando, so and so job from Felipe. I guess Alonso got extra motivation from the home crowd. Too bad that RBR is that much better than anyone else.

Well we could use a set of softs in the last stint? Webber done his stints differently in Turkey with hards in the middle.

Great lap by Alonso. As suspected from FP2, we are indeed slightly inching forward in terms of 1 lap pace.

I think the "panic" we thought we had in Q1 was simply our drivers saving the tires. We needed that soft to make it past Q1, but at the same time, there's no reason to go all out and murder the tires.

We only do that in Q3

Nice job Fernando... pleasant surprise 4th ... just missing out on 3rd which is where LH is with his smokey, front left Congrats Red Bull again. Let's see how the strategies play out tomorrow & how our comparative lack of new softs affects us. Hopefully Felipe can move forward a bit and Fernando hopefully at least maintain his quali position.

    1. Web, 2. Vet, 3. Ham, 4. Alo, 5. But...

    2011 Q3 positions:

Just copy and paste the above...

Still, we are more than 1 seconds behind...
because RB's laps were not great. Alonso's was though...
    So more than a second...

Well after two more weeks and promised good amount of updates, it's safe to say that we didn't improve one bit. Tho Fernando is still amazing but if we want to know our true pace we should look at Massa.

Anyway quali isn't too important, I hope our race pace improved a lot.

Great lap from nando! What's going on with Massa?

The point is that, we're not ahead of everyone again... Redbulls, 1 second ahead of us.
Tough race! At least, i hope we'll be ahead of McLs.

We might not have any fresh soft tyres left, but then again, Lewis ruined his current set, so that makes up for it. And Vettel's KERS doesn't work... Seeing as how Nando is so close to McL, and if our race pace (which hopefully improved too) in Turkey is anything to go buy, then a podium finish is not out of the question.
Oh, and we need a good start

I am sad to say this but whilst Massa is at Ferrari we will never win the wcc , kubica at Ferrari for 2012 season ...

Great lap from Alonso. Rarely seen him cheer 4th place. It must have really been something.
But 4th on the grid means dirty side, which is very dirty here. Am a lil worried about button.
Lewis will jump seb for sure... hopefully in the tussle both cars go out.
We are in good place for a podium.

Hey, maybe Alonso can pull a good start just like the ol' days
Mark Webber: "If you push to try and pass you kill the tyres but if you wait, then you find you're on the same strategy and finish behind them anyway".

I think Webber had to give it all he can, he is fighting with vettel for the position after all.

His lap time is not a easy going lap, IMO

So, even after a banned upgrade, we are level with mclaren with Fernando? good progress.

think what he could have done if we had recieved notice before the FP sessions, so we would not have had to base setup on a banned part.

The farce that is the FIA almost ruined it, but Fernando what a job man!

EDIT: anyone got the Sector times? because i heard we were level with the bulls in S1, and faster than Mac in S2. must mean we have SOME decent downforce. car aint a lemon.

I want to see Alonso's lap onboard, I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I saw him get into the 1:21's!

I was wondering though why we are slower than winter testing, but Mclaren and Red Bull are faster? Did they have Super Softs at Barcelona when Alonso did a 1:21.7xx in winter?

I can not believe McCheaters made Lewis wear that clown outfit. On top of it he looked like an alien after putting those shades
