Grosjean is a very good rookie driver, and we don't know what sort of program Lotus is running, but the E20 is consistently fast. He can't be running quali laps all day long but so far today Grosjean has run 7 laps in the 1:21s, whereas Massa has run 0 and Weber is the only other driver to break into the 1:21s on 1 lap. Grosjean has also turned 13 laps in the 1:22s, whereas Massa has done 8 and Vettel and Weber have combined for 10. So 20 laps for Lotus in the 1:21/1:22 range and Ferrari and Red Bull combined have 19 in that range. Very impressive.

Flo-Vis testing on the floor
Original High-Res
It is not so important how many laps we do...We already know the car is reliable. What's important are the updates, and their testing. It seems until now (we'll see tomorrow) there have been very few updates, so it is not exciting to do 100 laps, or 200 laps. A good number of laps is exciting when you are testing important updates. We'll see tomorrow.
Now they are trying some long runs, let's wait to see the time sheets.

From the pictures on twitter, it looks like many teams are now moving towards Red Bull/ McLaren exhaust style.
Are those different sidepods? They look a tad lower...
You cant really read anything into these tests so far..
Felipes fastest time wasnt bad at all, and we dont really
know what theyre testing.
By the way, thx for the fantastic pix!!!
Lots of laps by Massa...nice!
Only Ferrari have the data and they should know, so we have to wait and see.
One thing to note, if you look at Massa's car in the picture above, look where the exhaust is pointing. That's right, its no longer at the edge of the Acer duct like Alonso did yesterday, they moved it inwards again before Massa did his long run.
This may hint that the exhaust gas is still getting onto the tires or brake ducts, and so they have to move it away again to do the long run without burning up the brakes. If so, it may seems Ferrari is unable to fix that problem with the Acer duct.
Felipe was 5th in the time sheets today with a best time of 1:22.257 and 106 laps

But it could also mean they will mantain the Acer tubes, but in conjunction with a slimmer engine cover...Anyway, it seems Ferrari is still trying to make their version work. We will see (tomorrow?) if we heading to the Mclaren-Red Bull exhaust type , or to a new "Acer ducts" version.
