How Mclaren gifted this win to us!

This victory, in part, has been gifted to us by the boys in the Mclaren pits. That one incident, IMO, changed it for us.

Reconstrucing the race possibility If they hadnt muffed Lewis' pitstop, ----
Louis would have been ahead of us at the restart.
Nando might not have been able to pull off against lewis what he did against grosjean,
Assuming that Vettel and Grosjean did DNF as it actually happened, we would still be behind lewis, losing our tyres defending from Kimi.
Canada all over again, and we might have even lost P3. Worse, WE might have met pastor instead of lewis meeting him.

So, a BIG THANKYOU to the clowns in Mclaren!!! Keep up the good work boys!

I guess . But i wonder if lewis would suffer the same tyre death if he hadnt been defending from kimi.

There are just too many variables for this kind of discussion to be anything other than a "...if I won the lottery-type..." scenario!
Should we thank McLaren? Whatever for? That would mean we'd need to thank Lotus for that gear box failure!
And, Red Bull for whatever it was that ailed Vettel!!

Personally, I'd rather thank the team, the car and Alonso... and, of course, Lady Luck who was smiling down on us, from above!!

Hamilton would have never won this race. After the SC there were three or four cars quicker than Hamilton's and Alonso's was one of the them. I think McLaren screwed Hamilton's race up when they told him on the radio that Alonso had lost time that lap and he went for the win killing his tyres.

They actually had the fastest pitstop today, but consistency is the key.
What has me splitting my sides is that they want Ron Dennis back. Fair enough he was a fantastic TP, but they made just as many mistakes with him in charge. (2007?)

Would love to see him back in charge just to see how Button reacts to clear Nr.2 role...
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)

Alonso' Ferrari was Very Strong in the race and it would have been a good scrap but McLaren has already admitted that they have tire troubles. I think at some point, Hamilton would have been a sitting duck for Alonso's Ferrari! Can you say DRS! Ferrari was in fact reeling in the field and Alonso would have been the closest to Vettel in the end. No one knows if Alonso would have caught him but Ferrari obviously gave up quite a bit in qualifying to gain an edge in the race. That said, Red Bull have the edge in single lap and race lap pace. I think Alonso's Ferrari is a close 2nd. Ferrari needs a few more steps to over take and surpass the Vettel Red Bull! Ferrari have to find more downforce and reduce drag!

    Ciao.

    Forza Ferrari!!!!
