you know that. I think they should start clamping down on drivers going over the track limits. As they do in the WEC, AF Corse #51 with Fisi&Bruni got a stop n go at Spa last weekend for keep going over track limits (did have bad understeer) but still got done for it. Just think F1 should do the same. Seb would thenhave to get penalty as he always going four wheels over limits.

But right behind his team mate and behind Lewis.

Doesnt mean anything. He has learnt from last year, and nothing will happen apart form Fernando getting P1 by T2.

He never gets penalized remember in China he used DRS under yellow flag what did he get? Nothing not even a reprimand last year held alonso up on his fastest lap in Q3 in Japan was he penalized? No
and as you said he is at almost the exit of every corner with 4 wheels off track but the FIA just ignore it

Mercedes: the regulator is in the belly of the FRIC?
The interactive suspension are one of the technical issues that have enabled the W04 to monopolize the first row
    May 11, 2013 15:41

The Mercedes suffers from the consumption of the rear tires in the race, but the W04 is a very competitive car in lap: Nico Rosberg took his third pole position of the season for the German manufacturer, making the happiness of the president of the three-pointed star, Dieter Zetsche , present in Barcelona. The silver car thanks to the interactive suspension manages to be very profitable in the first qualifying round. In the picture you can see two Tech 1 Effe interesting details: the ' shock absorber with hydraulic control is equipped with a second cartridge of compensation. Under the radiator, instead, you can see the regulator FRIC : there is a hydraulic system that connects the front suspension with the rear ones and it is possible to record the correct box calibration system as a function of the characteristics of the track.

I hate that Merc quali speed. They're going to be nothing but a big hinderance for everybody tomorrow.
Oh and I don't even wanna think about what's going to happen in Monaco. Look out for a two Mercedes train consisting of about 10 cars there, with Rosberg and Ham driving in front and doing 3 second slower lap times and holding everyone up but nobody being able to pass them. 'It's going to be really-really fun.'

I remember there was a term "Trulli train" but now it's "Mercedes train". *smh*

    That really suck.

Did Massa cause Webber lap record? Probably. But did he cost Webber Q3? NO
The whole idea of Q2 is getting to Q3, not set impressive lap record.

It should have just been a reprimand, no need for grid penalty.

Vettel got a reprimand last year IIRC for impeding other drivers.

But I think Grosjean could be overly cautious tomorrow at the start as he will remember what he has done before and I amm sure he doesnt want to do somethig similar again

I wouldn't be so sure about that. A leopard doesn't change its spots as they say.
If anything, I think Alonso will be cautious seeing as RG almost killed him last year.

FIA is nothing close to consistent in its decisions but let's face - Felipe deserves that penalty and it could have been 5 places as well. He slowed A LOT is a tight corner like T10 and Webber lost heaps of time because of that, making him use more tyres to complete another lap. We are all Ferrari through and through but this doesn't mean we have to throw the rationale out of the window and blindly back our guys even if they are in the wrong, at least for me.

What a joke, I could understand if it affected Webber's final qualifying position but it didn't.
Whatever, we'll take a few places at the start.

Hopefully there won't be any mechanical problems tomorrow, that's the most important factor in getting a good result.

I said earlier that we can do this but that is now more in question. We have Grosjean starting beside us! Not good! He may be too confident after that good result in Bahrain. I still think we can win but it will be even more difficult now because of Grosjean.

I wonder if the absence of Fry had an impact on qualifying? You would think so to some extent. Hope he gets better. He's done a great job since joining us.

That was one big mistake by the Team.Massa should have been told to move left and leave the racing line to Mark.
A few seconds before Mark nearly went on the grass to get out of Felipe's way........

Hard penalty for us but totally fair.

We don't seem to be that much better on the mediums? Knowing that we should have qualified on the hards and used the mediums for Q2 and Q1. Our grid positions wouldn't have been that different if not the same. We have good tyre deg so we could have gone for a long stint and eventually take the lead at one point. Have we made a mistake?

I don't know but there wasn't any place for Massa to move over and not blocking Webber. Massa had to stay on his line because suuden movement could cause crashing with webber.
