I think it's great that there are so many races next season. The more the better for us fans. As for the new races on the calendar, I have really high hopes for New Jersey and Mexico. The tracks in the Americas are almost always exciting and great. Oh and it's good to have Austria's A-1 Ring back as well, despite it being a Red Bull home race now which makes me cringe, but the track itself is fantastic no doubt.

That would be great, fratelli, France deserves to return to the calendar and I think Imola was upgraded a few years ago, but there is too much money to be made elsewhere. And no race will be the same without Felipe in the car, especially Brazil. I'll be surprised if there aren't some major revisions/deletions to the current provisional calendar which seems to make little logistical sense.

First they are talking about cutting the costs and then they keep adding races. And change engines every few years. Quite a difficult combination to achieve, me thinks.

More races means more money in the pot to share out, teams get free freight to races anyway don't they?

That's certainly true, it's going to be very hard and exhausting for the teams and drivers.

NASCAR ( :gag ) has over 30 races. America is a big country, so the travel overall probably is pretty close.

It's not the exhaustion factor, it's the extra cost factor.

Aaah yes of course, I forgot. It's only going to be hard and exhausting for Red Bull and Vettel while all the other teams and drivers sit by the pool and sip cocktails LOL

No, it doesn't look good, you're right. I think it's going to look something like the Abu Dhabi track. Too artificial and without character.

Almost all NEW track that were introduced last couple of years are to artificial and without character. I must admit that I liked new track in USA.

I hope NJ happens in 2014. I live in Manhattan so it's right across the river.

I'll host a party if it happens.
    Cheers,

exactly my feeling too, with the exception of Monaco...all other street circuits i don't give a rat's petuttie about...
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Street circuits may look attractive and glamorous, but in racing point of view is crap, this tracks are only money making mashines, nothing more.

Monaco is great for qualifying because it allows the more skillful drivers to shine and it really pushes the drivers in terms of precise driving. But the track is too narrow for modern F1 cars to race on, we saw how bad it is.

Modern street circuit needs to be wide like in Singapore, where if you are slow, then you are vulnerable to being pass by others because it's wide enough for sometimes even 3 cars fighting each other. That's why we saw different strategy. We don't see that in Monaco because the drivers are protected by the narrow roads.

In Singapore we saw many overtaking, so we certainly can't say it's bad. We've seen less in Hungary and yet Hungary is considered a real circuit, a classic circuit.

ps: I would gladly trade Hungary for Magny Cours
