Felipe out. I can not remeber the last time they used this rear wing. It has no V cuts and more curved slots in the end plate. Something like what they used at the start of this season.

Yes, hopefully things should get better.....the FW still seems to be the problem....i think they managed to improve the RW....whatever was the problem...it sure has given us boost of about 2-tenths....but still maybe they didn't test all the parts....looking 4wd to FP2!

BBC F1 technical analyst Gary Anderson
"Ferrari have two different rear wings here and they're back-to-backing that. But they've just done a straight-line test so they really should know which is best. I call that wasting time at a race meeting. They also have two different front wings here. Now, they're a bit more tricky to be sure about."
What a loads of crap... straight line test doesn't confirm everything, might give an indication but nothing more... the way the car behave when going round a corner cannot be identified from straight line testing! This guy keeps on barking like a chiwawa. :)

Just saw results... Hmmm.. What to think...? +0.425 would be OK for the FP1 at first 5 races in the year. Now when we are in a last four races in the season, this +0.425 is big as a Chinese wall. Yes, it is just a FP1, and all teams are on different programs for testing, but still...
Let's wait and see what Ferrari will do in FP2.

The signs are not exactly very encouraging. based on the results of the FP1. But it's waaaay too soon to make any decisive conclusions just yet. The best indicator of our real speed will be quali session tomorrow. These free practice sessions don't tell the whole story.

We can do it! If anyone can, then it's Ferrari. I'm still feeling pretty confident about our chances this weekend. Cheer up guys! Let's wait and see what happens in FP2 and hope for the best. :-)

I can't sneeze in 0.4 seconds. The point I'm making is that everyone will be on different programmes, just like every other free practice session, and just a slight difference in a programme accounts for a time difference. 0.4 seconds at this point in a grand prix weekend means nothing at all, which is good. Take some positives, we're testing new parts and the car looked good.

Time difference is not a problem for me, as long as FA is capable to qualify in the 1st row tomorrow. From there he has equal chances for victory.

26th October 2012, 08:24
we say that every time: wait till FP3 or qualy..but then it happens the same or even worse...so we must say RB is quicker than us, its just the question if we could shorten time difference...everything in +0.3 or less is fine with me...and in qualy we must reach at least P3...and other thing that is very important and that we will see now in FP2 is of course heavy fuel load runs...

Translation from German:
Horner: "We have a couple of minor new developments this to the performance of the car - also in view of the coming weekend in Abu Dhabi - to improve further. "Said Red Bull team boss Christian Horner" Here in India, is probably the first sector with its long straights our greatest weakness. The sectors two and three of us seem to be very good. After the morning session, both drivers were very happy."

I am not pessimistic by default. I am realistic. And realistically Red Bull is more complete car than Ferrari. Thanks to beyond human driving abilities of FA Ferrari are there where they are now.

Reaistically even Ferrari know they are not fastest, they are trying their best, what can you achieve by consistent negetivity?

BBC F1 technical analyst Gary Anderson

"Red Bull have been doing a bit of a set-up change on the front of Vettel's car. There's a thing call the third spring which stops the car touching the ground to support the car in a straight line or under braking. They have done a little change on that. On the Ferrari there is a rumour they have a modified diffuser. They did a straight-line test last week and that is one of the things that would have come out of that. You run the car with a kind of active suspension and you can assess the stall point on the diffuser. I'll see if I can spot it as the car goes out."

Hope its true..

If you look at sector times it seems correct, Cows are loosing much time in S1 but are damn fast in S3
