All in all, race was boring...
The start was pretty mental, the thought of it kept me entertained for quite some time. Also, VET cruising was fun to watch.
Anyway, I refuse to have high hopes anymore. There is something fundamentally wrong in the managerial structure of the team and something is lacking. Red Bull destroyed us for aero, and Merc seem to have done a much better job in the most "Ferrari thing" - the engine. Disappointing as they come.

Everyting I see and know doesn't fill me with hope. All is looking bad from what I can see.
Engine doesn't seem to be good. We were talking about the advantage we have by doing our own engine and still we are where we are. Red Bull without testing is ahead of us. We have state of the art wind tunnel but our aero is nothing to write songs about. Our reliability is not bulletproof as we had problems with both cars today and with Kimi's for the whole weekend.
Well, our pitstops seem to be still great.

Double finish both cars had an issue from start costing time all race. Not brilliant but far from tragic. Loads of data and improved engine mapping with better reliability can mean huge gains over next few races. 34 seconds down here but 1st signs of improvement will be to see if Ferrari can close this gap consistently race by race which has not happened last few years.
Keep finishing getting points and improving pace and Ferrari will be well in there this year.

Fair play to Mercedes well done, for us today both cars scored points and apparently it was reported both cars carried electrical issue throughout the race, so our cars were running with less power, so we do have some positives and it is only the first race.:thumb

Ferrari again just an average car, when we consider last few seasons, we can be almost sure, that this season, again, is lost. I have waited till the end of the race to comment, but everything seems so familiar to me, that Ive lost hope.

Agree. Not too bad, particularly if we did have an electrical issue that cost pace.

For a guy who's claimed religion is Ferrari, you're always very quick to slate the team and say how bad and awful everything is. :-??

Once we were in clear air we matched McLaren and Red Bull. From what I saw today we have good downforce but poor straight line speed (which imo was as a result of the electric problems that left us down on power). Alonso could easily follow Hulk through the corners but couldnt get close on the straights. Kimi also struggled on the straights against the Toro Rosso.

This race was boring ....extremely boring.Save fuel save fuel .... that s not F1 racing...it s like lemans racing :-D.
Alonso did a great job...kimi was ok but he struggles with the car actually.I hope the scuderia will improve his car because he has done more mistake than he did normally.
The big big disappointment is the ENGINE, he is not on the same level than the mercedes....but also from RENAULT!!!!!! Ers problem....Montezemolo has ask some change for the formula 1 about the biggest part od aero but now we suck with the engine .I know everyone is working hard on the engine in maranello but i hope is not a structure problem because of that we can t do anything about it.If it s a problem with the software i hope an upgrade soon.
We are behind mercedes, mclaren, redbull, williams. It s a lot and we can t speculate about a retire from hamilton vettel massa every GP.
Great pitstop for raikkonen 2.2!the mechanic are the best part right now in the Scuderia F1 team.

Somewhat disappointing results, hopefully we were held back massively by the mentioned electrical issues. It was very obvious our car did not have the power, Alonso was losing ground to Hulk down the straight even with his DRS open.

And what is killing me the most is the pre-season talks from Luca and co, as they are tired of being second and so on. We have money, we seem to have the equipment and people. Why are we struggling? If we had problem with budget or something, sure, I would not expect so much.

From all the teams that have retired, none has a Ferrari engine, every Ferrari engine finished the race "without problems". Merc, Williams and McLaren very fast. Merc the fastest. Perhaps indeed we can't run our ERS at full power? We're all dissapointed because we're not 1-2, but I really don't get it why everybody is always so negative. I know, we're not in the best situation, that's true, and I want us to be better. But what do we gain by complaining and arguing against each other. If we can't believe in our team, what's the point?

Even with the electrical issues alonso had over a 10 sec advantage over force india. I don't get it. We were down on power so how was that possible considering he was stuck behind FI pretty much throughout the whole race. Was it Tyres/fuel that saving that made it possible? I'm just trying to figure it.
it's pure blah blah blah, this is where we are period

Is it me or both Kimi and Fernando look really glad that they managed to finish, its like they expected that to never happen ?
I might be wrong, but the feeling I get is that they are just trying to keep a positive front. It didn't feel like "wow we finished the race", but more like "well at least we finished the race". They both sounds a little dejected I think. Can't blame them if they do.

RB can, as we saw today
they weren't sandbagging...they jsut had issues with engine or their car package being too tight....once they figured out those issues, they have a quick car...and who knows, it may even be quicker then the Merc later in teh season....they are a BIG TEAM with lotta money afterall....
we jsut have to keep calm and our heads down and hopefully we'll be quicker and see some good potential and speed coming from Ferrari

Fernando answering a question about making the car faster - "I am only driving it".
He does not want to get another ear tweaking
