Its not the fastest lap (im sure nobody look at them) . Its about the race sim yesterday and that every single time we where on track doing some stints and another team where doing more or the same stint (same tires , same laps)we where always the slowest. Now the only reason to be competitive despite this picture is that we where ALWAYS running full on fuel . Ok it is a possibility (everybody including me what that to be the case) .but whats the point to do this? In test the team supposedly wants to check all parameters, high fuel - low fuel - race sim - qualy sim /Everything so to see how the car reacts. And the thing is that we never show something special. For example we didnt do a stint lets say for 20+ laps on C2s/C1s and running constantly 1¨32-1¨33 like McL done . We where always on 1¨36s -1"37s (im talking about mid stints) ON race pace where the fuel load is more oe less out of the question , McL was 0.5s/lap faster. Again someone can throw some explanations like it was different strategy (McL had the optimum with C2s in the end) adn that some pointed that lec was clipping on the straights( lower ERS settings?) and losing 7-10km/h on the straights. I see all this but its only theories to exlpain the bad lap times.
So yes what we see is not good. We are somehow hiding and we will be fully competitive in Australia? everybody hope so!!!!

Make of it what you will and does it really mean anything going into 2025?

How teams compared in best times from 2024 vs. 2025.

It's not how start but how you finish.

WELL they did .The stopwatch doesnt lie. The same was told in 2023-2024 with Aston Martin and McL where they also gained 2-3 sec from previous year , and it happened. So we cant tell that they cant gain that time because the actually post that time and on C3's . Williams also was almost 2 s faster. The thng is how the other teams haver actually gain? Because lets say that Alpine and Sainz run on fumes and full pawer on their laps. Thats their capability, its a fact. What we have gained is to be revealed

Nobody is talking about ultimate times. We are talking about how the car looks from it's onboard and race pace. It is twitchy, unballanced, our drivers are fighting it every corner basically. Then you look at McLaren and it looks so much easier to drive...

McLaren too had issues with rear of the car. You are just looking at their race pace, ofcourse it is strong but others are on a different plan & didn’t had a proper test.

WCC or WDC is not won in 1st race. 2024 is the best example.

This is the TD18 advantage that I talked about . Maca's gonna exploit it .

Well, we have to or at least get our current package working right
I have faith in our team….the turnaround they did last year was astonishing

What bothers me the most is that the MIA…..em, FIA is allowing mcmowers to use the jelly, flappy front wing for 8 races….hopefully they’ll not get too far ahead beach’s if that cheat

McLaren had issues with their rear stepping out sometimes... sure. We have issues with our rear and front being unstable all the time. I am not saying we can't fix that, but it's clear as day that we are behind.

I personally think we’ll get all that sorted out for Melbourne. Remember this is still a car that is 95% new. We have 2 weeks to analyze all the data we collected and come up with a killer package, that will surprise everyone around the paddock and all of us fans as well

Remember, we have a 7 time world champion driving one of the Ferraris, that on its own gotta be worth something

In other words, our update will come much later than Australia.

If McLaren are allowed to run the wing and it's proving to be beneficial, why are we crying sour grapes instead of adopting the idea ourselves?

It's worth nothing if the car is bad. Merc had a 7 time world champion driving one of their cars last season - how much did that turn out to be worth?

Look on the bright side, if we don’t think the car can be salvaged we will turn our attention to 2026 before the others.

Must admit I am growing tired of turning our attention to the nest year.
Don't think Fred works that way. I think he will want to have a shot at winning at least one championship this year

Have the team said anything about updates? What needs upgraded before Australia?

And we have flexi front wing just like the rest, why do you think we don't?

Next year philosophy is pretty much how Binotto work back in the day . Either we create a very strong car from beginning or we're gonna wait for another year , mid-season upgrade always fail .

Not really, Alonso did miracles with that $ h I t F2012 car and almost won the championship…so a talented driver can perform miracles…unless yiu consider Hamilton an AVERAGE driver

Mate, so the same ‘ol’ story since 2009 then?? Kind of like a broken record…nah, I won’t accept that, we MUST challenge for WCC this year and actually WIN IT

I’ve never seen any onboard footage of our front or rear wing this testing, have you?? If so please do post clips where our front wing flips and flops like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich…..the way the Mclaren one does

Yup, the mid season updates almost ALWAYS fail, or if we do kind of catch up it it usually too late as the better teams already have a big point to advantage and is near impossible to catch up

"It is highly plausible that Ferrari arrived in Bahrain underprepared and that the most effective setup for the pull-rod suspension has yet to be found"
This was always the risk turning to pull rod front. Now it's 50-50 for us. If we figure it out we might be very strong, if we won't we are for some serious problems.

We had flexi front wing since end of last season, why would we not still have it?

Can you show me the video of the McLaren front wing?
