I can't seem to find this detail on other photos to support my theory and it seems it is just the perspective of the shot.

Sorry just that I have to find something, some detail that would bring that extra downforce...

The car looks very nice and if she is fast and realible she will be the most beautiful car! I like it a lot!!!

    F150 hmm...

I wish they'd pick a naming convention and stick to it.
as for the car, I was expecting something more but no doubt they'll be a dozen updates before the first race.

This is what I mean. There seems to be two planes comming together on the side of the sidepod. I guess I don't see why there is a second (upper) plain.
It must be that I know nothig about aero stuff...

Just did these. Strictly for thescuderia forums
    F10 top, F150 bottom.

    Aligned to cockpit/crash structure

    Aligned to rear wing

    Aligned to front wing

And the front. Looks like a step backwards.

The car is the same length so the comparison should have the car line up together pretty much perfectly. Align it with the centre of the wheels and you can't go wrong.

How does the front view of the car look like a step backwards? Looks like a forward one to me - more radical front wing, development on the sidepods and rear wing etc.

I may be wrong, but it appears like the wheelbase is shorter on the new car?

No it's the same. Just those pictures aren't to scale in the comparison above. See the previous pages for side by side comparisons.

To me the car looks the same length overall but the wheelbase looks ever so slightly shorter, it's hard to tell from those pictures though.

Where did you read that the wheelbase and overall length was the same? A source would be lovely so i can make accurate comparisions.

I haven't. It may be slightly different, but nothing as drastic as in your comparisons.

If you take the two constant points when you size them - top of rear wing endplate and centre of front or rear wheel then you'll have the correct dimensions of the car. Hence, they're both pretty much bang on identical.

First of i just want to point out i'm not saying i'm right and others are wrong, i'm just trying to explain how i came to my conclusions. If anyone has the wheelbase/length specs for both models i can make a 100% accurate comparision.

For my comparision i resized the two cars to fit eachothers width, since that's the only thing i know for sure will be the same.
Here are the current comparision i made with a difference map. A difference map is a great way to find out differences between two photos.

The darker an area = The F10 and F150 image match up.
The lighter an area = The F10 and F150 image differ greatly.

    Aligned to rear wheels

    Aligned to front wheels

If i resize them to fit eachothers wheelbases the underbody/floor has different width, and the overall width of the car doesn't match up either. Which obviously should not be the case. Surely shooting the photos with different focal lengths and different distance would produce different perspectives and can be the reason for this illusion.

Aligned to same wheelbase. Width of the car doesn't match up.

And here's the above, wheelbase-aligned, comparision.

Hell i just realized neither of Ferraris press photos are aligned horizontaly, both cars are somewhat turned. I will have to redo the whole comparision from the beginning. Didn't even check that.

But i DO still believe the wheelbase is longer on the F150.

I just had a look for the wheelbase sizes - not found it yet. But most other boards are saying that the wheelbase is shorter on the F150. :-S

Resized both to match up at radius of the 13" wheels since they are 100% the same dimension on both cars.

Seems they do have the same wheelbase. But the press photos are shot with different focal lengths so any comparision will be crippled. Things nearer/further from the camera will look larger/smaller then they are. Will still try to get a decent comparision done later.

Well i have to go back to work now!
