I think speculating how hard he would have held one particular driver up is fruitless, he was very slow and I doubt it would have taken much effort for anyone to pass him at that point in the race.

Schumi did nothing wrong, But if poor (- out of context- 2000, 2001, 2003 in my opinion championships won by shcumy for Ferrari and 2002, 2004 Ferrari by Schumy) , the championship was lost in Belgium and Japan. Both Renault drivers high pressure and eager to achieve results in the championship contstructor made a sad Sunday for Ferrari.
Mark Weber put it very difficult to Vettel at the start .... and re start after the safety car. In this moment Vettel doesn't show nothing of champion, as we say here "wrinkled".![]()
Ferrari Webber plans to go to someday? or is a racer over any brand ....![]()

I noticed Schumacher's lack of a fight against Vettel and perceived it as a big bottle of weak sauce. Not blaming him in the least, but it's a shame.
Disappointed Since 2010
It's no suprise to me that Schumi did not resist Vettel's overtaking move on him yesterday. They are mates from Germany are they not? Anyway Vettell will have to go some to beat 5 W D C's although it is probably not impossible on his current form.![]()
The chin lost my respect yday? The question mark is the only thing wrong with the thread heading. Finally theres more than just me ! Equal to cursing, anyone who brings up his name on this site on a positive note should be banned forever. I look at it this way, the chin " Let him pass. " He done extended team orders to help another team driver. His final gesture to Ferrari. After reading some of these quotes I realize also that Merc, Red Bull, Vettel are the Fatherland, he had no choice. Ferrari just don't fit in. Gone forever and hopefully forgotten here brings some comfort.
OT: I have to call you out on this. I am a bit tired of Tifosi having a ranking; I did not know that pedigree or length of support for the team was a qualification for being a better Tifoso than another.
So if a "pedigree Tifoso" and someone new to supporting the team both do not like Michael, is the Tifoso with the pedigree entitled to dislike Schumacher more than the new guy? Or does Mr. Forever Ferrari always get first dibs at taking a swipe at Michael. Tell me about this ranking, how does it work?
Yes its bad we lost the WDC and yes Alonso was superb and really deserved it..
But seriously, this is taking it too far, how long do you SERIOUSLY think that car could have kept a flying Vettel behind him? 4-5 corners max? or did you want him to risk it all and tangle?
Vettel was ahead of MS and is champion, if Vettel had finished behind MS it would change nothing, he would still be champion.
Don't blame Schumi, if you really are desperate to blame someone, blame Grosjean, his SPA crashfest robbed Alonso of the points he needed to be WDC, not Schumi.
It's simply a way of speaking. I guess everybody is entitled to his own opinion as long as they show it in a respectful way. I don't consider myself a pedigree ferrarist because I'm not. Don't read too much into my post, I meant that anybody is free to comment on what Schumacher did yesterday. That's all.
Schumacher has nothing to do with us losing the championship. It was that first lap lunatic grojean that cost us the championship. Makes no difference if he moved or not.
The people who know this sport knows who the real champion is.
Schumi just wanted a quiet, fuss-free last race. Nothing to see here.
There there brembo man. The big bad man has gone now... well, I say he's gone... he may come back again next year in an old HRT under the name Team Chin, but it's unlikely. (imagine the livery though)
Now that Michael has left F1 for potentially the last time, this might be a good time for you to "move on" too, seeing as there will be no need for you to bring him up in a "negative to Ferrari" context ever again. That also goes for Jean Todt, his relations, Luca Di and everyone else in Ferrari (past and present) that you don't like, because of what they did to Rubens over all of those years - known to countless Tifosi as "The Glory Years", but which we all know you like to think of as the "Rubens Barrichello Struggle against Repression by the Italian/German/French Combined Forces Years".
What chances do I give that you will live up to your final statement? Not much if i'm honest. We know you hate him but he will always be one of, if not the best driver that Ferrari have ever had, so excuse us if we continue to appreciate that fact as the years roll on. The very fact that, since his return to F1, you have talked more about Michael Schumacher than all of the rest of us combined, suggests that you don't plan to stop banging on about him any time soon, regardless of whether your comment is thread relevant.
We all still love you though![]()
"Luna faccia schiaffo testa"
Michael did not design the F2012 as far as I know.
Clearly shows his heart was not in it.
In his first career, he was prepared to screw over his own brother just to help the team.
I don't think he'd have made life difficult if it had been either of our drivers behind him either.
Of course he wanted Seb to win - Michael's been somewhat of a mentor and he's known him since he was a child.
Forza Jules
That livery would be great ! The front end of the car would be transformed from a nose to a chin! Saying those were the glory years. Wow you really know how to hurt a guy! Your point is well taken by yours truly. From now on I will start my thread with, " Since you brought up his name. " if the occasion should lend itself or else, Silencio Cantadore on my part. By the way, Mein Kampf was written in German, not Portugese. Rubens had no part in such a a struggle as you describe, just team orders.
Anyway, weather I agree with you or not, great hearing from you. Just keep in mind it's going to be a very boring off season here without my ranting, for the most part, and you have yourself to blame !![]()
There were 3 Red Bulls in Brasil , one was painted in silver and was driven by a driver named Michael Schumacher.
Who is this guy ? I don't know him ! I only knew a driver wo loved to race for Ferrari and said he would never race for another team. That was the race-driver and champion I admired. The driver wo let Vettel pass on sunday by almost parking his car on the side of the circuit cannot be the same man wo drove for us all these years.A very sad move for a once great driver who now is no more than a shadow of the 7-times world champion......![]()
I thought this was F1, not school- though in this case, it doesn't matter too much, Vettel would have passed him quite easily anyway with the rocket he was sitting in + DRS, and it was his last race as well, so whatever.
Fact is, RB does not only have Newey the genius, they also have at least one other team helping them out- or 2, if you count Lotus and idiotic crashjean- and other german drivers helping them as well, and still Vettel won by only 3 points. Yeah what a super-uber-driver.
Part of me thinks Schumacher would be a bit uneasy about Vettel starting to erode into his records.
As much as he likes Vettel, he wants to be #1.
