So do you have examples of drivers not being offered a drive based on them not stating their desire to drive for Ferrari?
If you don't know who the greatest Ferrari driver is then oh well.
Forza Ferrari
How on earth has this thread gone from celebrating Alonso winning, to people bashing him for not pledging his infinite loyalty to Ferrari whilst at other teams? Some people are never happy!
Ferrari was the enemy for him, specially in 2006, and FIA helped Ferrari with some questionable stuff , emotions were high that year for everyone in Renault.
Fernando has show a million of times that he loves Ferrari, he has embraced the Ferrari culture and life, if people can't see it..... it's pretty sad, specially if they are Ferrari fans.
At the risk of offending the Legal Profession, are you a lawyer? Or do you just get a kick out of misinterpreting what people are actually saying?
Let me reword what I said, just for you:
First of all, there are obviously drivers who do not admit to wanting to drive for Ferrari.
Secondly, some of these drivers may not have what it takes to be part of Team Ferrari.
Thirdly, these drivers may not have what Ferrari is looking for in a team player.
Fourth, these drivers may never be on Ferrari's radar because they don't have what it takes or don't have what Ferrari is looking for.
Lastly, these drivers may never be offered a seat at Ferrari.
n.b.
At NO time, did I mention that these drivers did not get an offer from Ferrari because they didn't express a desire to be part of the greatest F1 team, ever!
I hope that explains my thought process to your satisfaction, this time?

I don't think it's so much that some people are never happy as it's that Alonso's short term at Ferrari is being compared to Massa's long-standing loyalty.
I don't believe the comparison is meant to detract from what Alonso has accomplished in such a short time, as it's meant to remind us that Massa has
been with us so much longer and has proven himself in wanting to justify Ferrari's faith in him and his ability.
At least, that's what I am understanding from the comments being made! Yup, I'm reading between the lines!!![]()
Nobody has mentioned Massa so no idea why you are trying to suggest things that are not being said, but you do seem obsessed with Massa as even your other forum has found out...the comments being made are that Fernando was probably not a Ferrari fan in the past but he is now, if you wish twist that into something to do with Massa then I give up.

Come on, guys! We all know that Alonso saw Ferrari as the enemy during his first stint at Renault, and that he made some comments about how the FIA was biased in favour of the red team and Schumacher. Schumacher made similar comments while he was at Benetton and fighting the Ferraris. In any case, I have to tell you that nothing can be worse than what Luis Figo said of Real Madrid while he was playing for Barcelona, yet he ended up being one of the Real Madrid icons!
Let's just say that all these guys "saw the light" at some point in their lives *
* Barça supporters are allowed to think that Figo saw the wrong light![]()
Well, I thought I'd take a page out of your book and read between the lines!
I guess it didn't work for me as well as it does for you, eh?
Interesting that you first claimed I was obsessed with Kimi, yet, now it's Massa?
You seem to think that all I have in my life to live for is some sort of compulsive/obsessive disorder!
Does that mean you moonlight in the Medical Field?
As for my "other" forum, please feel free to register instead of lurking on the side!
There are a number of other threads that are not accessible, if you're not! I haven't posted there
much this past week, nor here for that matter, because I've been busy recovering from surgery!
Of course, you can feel free to believe what you wish!![]()
Fernando preferred McLaren, however, as they say don't meet your heroes.
That is no surprise, he grew up in the era of McLaren domination. This is why Seb prefers Ferrari, he saw a bit of Michael.
One only truly knows what Ferrari is once they have experienced it, not from the outside (especially if there is one of the toughest title battles in recent times going on and they are your rivals) But Fernando has seen what Ferrari is, and he likes what he sees.
P.S. I always forget whether Gilles actually raced for McLaren or was just given a test. I know they liked him, but Enzo liked him more
P.P.S Paolo Maldini supported Juventus....
Franco Baresi's boyhood team was Inter....
I doubt Milan fans care that much in looking at who their heroes supported when they were winning them European Cups. And likewise, I just hope Fernando is happy at Ferrari, I don't car who he used to support as a kid.

We wish Ferrari was challenging Benetton when Schumi was thereBut you are right even Michael had no deep burning love for Ferrari when he joined, but it's a team that makes you fall in love once you do arrive.(unless you are Kimi.) Same with Fernando he clearly has lots of love for Ferrari and massive respect for the whole team. He is a passionate guy like Massa and we Tifosi just love that in our drivers

He drove for McLaren, before coming to Ferrari but that does not say he supported McLaren in the first placeThink he only done 1 race with them.
Villeneuve: "If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

How do you know that he "preferred" Mclaren? There isn't any definitive proof to support that claim. Unless you have a time machine to go back in time and a device with which you could read little Alonso's thoughts, there's no way to tell for sure what he preferred as a kid.
But whatever the case may be, the MOST important thing is that he's a devout Ferrari religion man now, without any doubt. He truly has seen the "light". And that's all that matters really.
FORZA FERRARI!!!![]()
KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI

6:11 Maybe he just said that for PR purposes, but he has repeated his love for Senna many times. I don't car much, but here you go.
