Yes
No
Right first off, i know you dont, Red wasnt saying you. Every race weekend we dont have good enough car for some fans who just rock up here at race weekends. It turns out to be an assualt on the team and Felipe in nearly every post. You only need to scan through the race, quali and Practice threads to see what im (we) are on about. Mainly its Fernando fans. Sorry to say it, but its the truth.
Secondly, lets not turn this thread into name calling, and turning on each other. Plus we respect everyone on here, and all the team. But its not the same as the people we on about. They show no respect for the team or drivers (Felipe mainly) and members on here when we have made race or car is performing they want it too.
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Thanks Senna4Ever but I don't think I could do a better job.
I will say that I'm not angry, and don't dislike all Alonso fans, and it's not all Alonso fans who are being a pain.
I'm just tired of ALL the whiners who constantly bash the team, the car or Felipe and whine that Alonso is "wasting his talent" or Ferrari is "wasting his talent" or that Alonso "deserves a better car" and I have even seen some who have given up on next season.
I started following Ferrari in 1984 so it was a long time before I ever saw Ferrari become a champion or even win many races. So I know some don't realize what real futility is. I was a Jean Alesi fan even when he was with Tyrrell and even after it finally ended for him at Ferrari and we had expected at least one championship and certainly more than one win, I never thought Alesi "wasted his talent" at Ferrari. Because racing for Ferrari is never a "waste".
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
I saw and I don't agree with some sort of Fernando's "fans". I repeat, we must to dissaminate and sort the comments and the people who made this. Alonso show in many way and occasions the Ferrari atachement's and determination. He love Ferrari and Ferrari love him. Don't understand who have the interes to develop this threat and why.
His contract is up to 2015 with an option up to 2016 - is this correct? Does anyone know if there is a get out clause in his contract? The team need to tread carefully here as he has made Ferrari look better than it actually is and I don't think any other driver out there on the market will bring in the same sort of results as he does. Vettel is improving and Hamilton is very good but I don't think they would be equally as good replacements as Alonso at least not now. Hope the team gives a strong performance push in the second half of the season that's all he is asking for but I fear that if there are more and more excuses from the team and if some team members point the finger at him tensions will escalate. We don't need that. He is a passionate driver and Ferrari are a passionate team. They gel in nicely together. Particularly Fry needs to be careful with what he does or says to Alonso as these two previously had an argument despite Ferrari later denying it. I hope it all goes well and it's good to see Luca positive but then again that's what he's supposed to do be positive but deep down he is probably getting more and more frustrated.

I honestly don't think there's any truth in Pat Fry arguing with Alonso rumor.
Exactly right! Driving for Ferrari is an honor and a huge privilege in it's own. People who don't understand that, don't understand the essence of Ferrari and everything it stands for. Ferrari is SO much more than just a F1 team or just a car manufacturer...it's the greatest legend in automotive/motorsport history. And the drivers who race for Scuderia Ferrari will always be a part of that legend.
KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI
Some Ferrarifans here still know very little about Fernando Alonso it seems. In the past Fernando was even disliked by a lot of people because of his so-called "arrogance" . The truth is that he never was arrogant at all, but always said the truth, at least what he felt as being the truth. He is a rather shy guy, although it gets better now he is growing older, and when he says something he generally means it.
He won two championships with Renault and although he liked being there he wanted to see and feel more. He mentioned Ferrari now and then, but that was Schumacher territory those days so a no go area for him.
McLaren was a mistake, a big mistake. It was not Lewis' fault that it all went wrong there, Fernando did not fit in, Lewis or no Lewis.
Then the door of the greatest team ever (as said by Fernando many times before to his fans) opened for him.
The way he was welcomed there felt like a warm bath. Fernando can be completely himself at Ferrari and that's why he said that he would only leave to retire.
Fernando Alonso is not only a Ferrari driver, he is also a big and devoted Ferrari fan.
He feels that the only thing that is higher than being an F1 champion, is being a F1 champion in a Ferrari. That is what he wants.
Now I know that nothing in this life is guaranteed, but I would be very, very surprised if Fernando would ever drive for another team again.

Rather unnecessary. No? And all this based on a speculation by none other than DC. That guy hates anyone who has fared better than him in F1, and that pretty much includes everyone.
I seriously think Alonso will end his career with Ferrari. If he is demanding that the car be made better, how is he wrong? Any driver wishing to win the WDC will say so. And having come so close in 2010 and 2012, it must be getting to him at some point.
Silently, like a shadow
I would politely suggest that DC knows a little bit more about the inner sanctum of F1 than you do. Who is Bashing? I take it you're generalising? Kimi had a contract drive for SF in 2010. Contracts get broken all the time, but I am not suggesting that this true in Nando's case.
"Okay,...Jean is smarter than you....... can you confirm you understood that message" Bernie on the phone to Max circa 2009
Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines - Enzo Ferrari circa 1960
So questioning Massas results is attacking him? I asked if someone could highlight his contributions to the team in the LAST 4 years. Then a thread gets started with not a single race achivement. Ferrari broke his gearbox seal. Wow, what a sacrifice. It wasnīt like he was fighting for the championship. He hasnīt been near that form since 2008.
Ha has more spins and crashes this year alone than his fans manage to find his highlights in the last 4 years. And the talk about support. How much time does he need. What other driver has enjoyed ALL THE TIME Felipe has already been given to prove himself?
I think any other driver on the grid would do the job better than Felipe. Our car isnīt as bad as his results. Enough is enough. And yes, if Fernando leaves I guess I would support his replacement and still want Massa to leave as badly as I have wanted it since Germany 2010.
A loyal teamplayer doesnīt act like Massa did back then. Period.
There is nowhere he can go to. Apart from that, as others have mentioned, all other teams are no go. So where ?
"If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari" - Gilles Villeneuve
Maybe i'm generalizing a bit, but i was referring to this:
which i found rather agressive (and uncalled for) which is based on nothing but speculation. If he wants to take his toys and leave he can as long as he takes his fans with him. I hope none of them let the door hit them in the behind on the way out.
Ferrari existed for decades without Fernando Alonso and will continue to do so without him. And they will again win championships whether he is there or not.
Fernando is too young to leave F1 as he always stated that Ferrari is the LAST team he will race for. It is the stupidest speculation/thread/poll on this forum. No offence.
You're right, DC as a former driver himself tend to know more especially from a driver's perspective. However I'd caution that since he's now part of the media, they tend to make everything more dramatic than it really is. Sky has many former driver doing their media presentation now, and sometimes they still act like a bunch of clowns![]()
I wouldnt say it is without substance. Argument with fry last year it doesn't have to be a heated argument where they throw stuff at each other. Luca saying he hopes Alonso will honour his contract why even say this? Stefano eyeing up Vettel. Alonso early part of this year saying we must develop the car and not stop early to focus on 2014. Despite what some members say it would be very damaging if Alonso leaves because he has fallen out with us. I sincerely hope that it doesn't happen but if we keep bringing downgrades eventually he will lose patience any driver would. Not all drivers are in it for the money or the prestige that Ferrari brings some just want to win.
I fail to see what the problem is with that statement, I am not sure why some don't understand that this is a Ferrari fan forum. If you (and I mean all members that fall within this category and not specifically you) are a fan of Alonso while he drives for Ferrari you are most certainly welcome here, however if you are simply going to bash the team over and over again (and subsequently leave when he stops driving for Ferrari) then people will get annoyed reading that and will make valid comments such as the one Redarmy made.
All of us know Ferrari is struggling right now, none of us can do anything about it really (short of changing your preferred teams), so what's the point of bashing the team over and over again?
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...
This post I made, which seems to have caused such consternation...
If he wants to take his toys and leave he can as long as he takes his fans with him. I hope none of them let the door hit them in the behind on the way out.
Ferrari existed for decades without Fernando Alonso and will continue to do so without him. And they will again win championships whether he is there or not.
...was aimed strictly at Fernando only fans who constantly bash the team and suggest Fernando should go elsewhere because Ferrari is so pathetic. No one else.
If someone feels it is aimed at them, it probably is and that's their own guilt showing. If you haven't been bashing the team then it's not about you.
And anyone who reads my posts will know I have nothing but the utmost respect For Fernando and wouldn't trade him for any other driver out there, not even two or three of them.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
@ REDARMYSOJA : I see now that I posted my reaction exactly simultaniously with your explanation. Your explanation is clear, accepted and makes my reaction unneccesary.

You can't be any clearer....yep, I'm still an Alonsofan, been that since his Minardi time, but he now took me to a place I won't leave again, even when he retires.
