"Lewis the car is bad, we know, please drive it!" - Toto Wolff after 52 laps of constant Hamilton whining on the radio! (Austria GP, 2023)
What do you expect Luca to say publicly? I think Kimi was hired for several reasons, and one of them was to give a message to Alonso that he is not bigger than the team. I respect if you think otherwise, but I wont like people saying IT IS that way, when they donīt know for sure.
Well, when Kimi came 2007, Schumacher did not even have a contract, so I dont know how you compare those situations.

Yeah, or you are wrong. Why is that so hard to grasp? Can you admit that you CAN POSSIBLE be wrong about something even once? I am keeping all options open, especially since I have a Maranello source claiming what I am saying. Why are you chasing people that have other theories than youīre own when yourself have nothing substantial to back your own opinion with?
Bring your opinion without belittling or dismissing everyone elses.

Signing Kimi sends a message to Alonso - "you are not bigger than the team", we will hire WHOEVER we want to compete with you and not do everything to please you.
Luca would never admit to such a thing in public, and since its not guaranteed to be the case, the public wont recognise this, as you wont recognise this, that simple.

Great then, why are you then chasing me around? If we both have nothing to claim, why not just have rumours being thrown around for what they are? Why do you feel you need to respond and try to kill each one even though you have no idea if you are right in doing so?
I just donīt get it, why are you doing this? You do it all the time, dismissing everyone elses opinion, I just donīt see it fit for a moderator to do so. I have never seen a moderator anywhere acting with such aggression. You have to respect other people wont bow down to your opionion, even though you show it down their throats!

I am not chasing you? It's called a debate of opinions. I have nothing to claim so I tend not to just make up wild rumours. Why do you feel the need to post rumours that you have no idea if they are right? If you don't want your rumours to be discussed then keep them to yourself?
Forza Ferrari
Because I am interested in whats going on at Ferrari, thats why I am here because I have an interest in everything thats going on at Maranello. I am also very interested in the re-hiring of Kimi and its motivation - plus how Ferrari in hindsight are looking at their decision to axe their latest WDC driver. So I will engage in discussion about any rumour that there might be some merit to.

Hello! Just to make a few select or random remarks on this thread as a new-comer;
What I like about both Massa and Räikkönen, is their style to air any grievances they might have within the privacy of the team, even if it does make it harder to learn what they're actually thinking about any given topic, for example about their circumstances and those of the car when being sidelined from Ferrari.
As for the 2014 driver lineup, I'm personally thrilled about seeing both Alonso and Räikkönen within the confines of Ferrari. That's two out of four present day greats in the same stable. This may be the conservative choice for the team itself, but for an onlooker like myself, it appears a strong, bold move that is not without its risks, aimed at winning again the all-important WCC. And as far as risks goes, I think the reputed threat of Alonso going haywire with his temper, or Kimi going passive with his, are unlikely and mostly results of negative media hype - it makes for headlines, and all the greats too have their doubters, dislikers, and brazen fans too! I'd give them both the benefit of the doubt, and while I'll only be happy if Kimi does well, what matters is less winning or winning over someone, but that both drivers both get a car and the support necessary to excel on track, they certainly deserve it! Anything less is wasting their talents and potential, nevermind their wages. If the team is able to manage their personalities off-track with tact and grace too, then all the better. Okey, I take it back that it doesn't matter who wins, after all, we're probably all bored by RB dominance.
For Massa, who I consider a very sympathetic and kind person, he has displayed such loyalty and commitment to the team and its priorities after the tragic crash, that he definitely deserves to be remembered for it. It would be decent to note though, that from the perspective of his career options, no other team would have made a better home for him for the past few years, so quite simply he has been doing what it takes to keep the seat as best he could. Unfortunately for him, it no longer was enough. Whether he retires from F1 or not, one can hope for him many happy decades to come with his family.
As for Kimi, some say he needs to work for his redemption, to prove that he is more now, than his worst races in the past. In my own humble opinion, he wouldn't have been rehired if he was considered a risky move, nor does he need to prove anything about his motivation or consistency after the Lotus years, to anyone. Alonso was probably the right choice to replace Räikkönen, if the team was looking for an engaging leadership figure, that for sure is not who Räikkönen is or even wants to be! I can understand if Ferrari fans here dislike Räikkönen for being the conservative/old choice, for being brought to unsettle the single #1 driver policy that has been no doubt just as comfortable for Alonso as it is for other #1's in other teams, and for de-seating Massa. Those are personal feelings, and they can be respected, even if I wouldn't generally join you in feeling them. What can agree with is if anyone here thinks Kimi will not match Massa's loyalty to Ferrari, no one can, be it out of circumstance or preference. Knocking him down for lack of love for Ferrari is understandable but not very productive, Lotus was an unusually understanding and supportive community for Kimi, but from what I can tell, he loves no team. You get the feeling the only thing that will ever inhabit that very special place in his heart, is driving in moto-sports.
Signing Kimi crashed lot of theories !
1. Bad Ferrari dumped Kimi
2. Kimi will never ever join Ferrari again cause he is cool honest and fair blah blah
3.Alonso pulls all strings and has right of veto , and he decides who will be his team mate no 2 driver
4. Alonso is afraid of strong team mate
It is difficult to know what goes on behind the scenes of any F1 team. Amus have reported some of these same rumours that is being discussed, and they tend to be very reliable. The problem is that by the time some of these stories reaches the media it might be a bit sensationalized or taken out of context.

I did not issue any statement, I issued what I said was rumours from my Ferrari source at Maranello, I did not invent my own theory by itself.
You have no idea whether my source is correct or not, so I do not care if you say its far from the truth as you probably have less information.

It seems pretty obvious Ferrari is trying to move the focus being unable to build a championship winning car. It's easier to replace Massa with another driver than changing Management structure or finding a way to overtake Newey's cars.
I want to clarify what I think of year 2014, with Kimi and Fernando:
Kimi has no desire to be the 'leader' of the team, so he will let Fernando keep that. As long as Kimi gets equal car,
and equal team to set up that car to his liking, he is happy. Which one of them shall win more? Most likely Fernando
at first, but after first part of next season, who knows? I actually expect them to be quite close to each other.

Let's, what have we learned.
Alonso was being a bad boy, so in order to set him straight Luca got on his knees and apologetically begged Kimi to come back to Ferrari so that super cool Kimi can teach that mean old Alonso some manners. Next season Kimi will trounce Alonso, Alonso will be so humiliated he will leave Ferrari which means super cool Kimi teaches everyone, Luca, Alonso, anyone else, that he is super cool and Ferrari made their biggest mistake ever by dumping super cool Kimi for mean old Alonso.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
I have absolutely no idea why you have to exaggerate things like that. Totally uncalled for. But as usual you try to make fun and mock people that have other views than your own, another moderator who leads by example - trolling and baiting the kimi supporters. The only crazy post in this thread is the one you just posted, other posts have been pretty possible and open-minded with exception of Greig of course, but thats to be expected.
