Main threat is still Hamilton, to be honest I think we can tame Vettel.

Well done Ferrari, Fernando and Massa.
Looking at race pace if anyone would have offered this result in paper on Friday, the team would have signed it.
We made good points today. Congrats! Ferrari & tifosi![]()

Agreed. In terms of pace, McLaren in the hands of Lewis is still way ahead and we have a lot to catch up. Despite the 50 points gap now, Lewis is still very well in the hunt.
The only thing that's hindering them is their reliability. Thankfully after all things considered, Ferrari is probably still one of the most reliable car out there.
"knocks on wood"
Fernaldo did his best, we never had the pace to touch MCs and RBR at this GP.
Look how worry on RBR face when something about reliability happens, I think they ran out of confidence. But they still can win.
Massa could have done better than that, unlucky man.
Hope that our engineers will find something to make the cars stronger so we can grasp the WDC and overtake MC on WCC.
Phew! What a relief... Now I can't wait for Suzuka, I'm sure Fernando will be on fire now.
Another difficult weekend is gone. It's a very good result for Vettel and not bad for Alonso either. There's a lot of work to do though. Hopefully things will be different in Suzuka and Korea and Ferrari can fight for the win there. Don't count Hamilton out just yet, they can still win both titles if they solve reliability problems.
Vettel and Button been summoned to stewards over safety car restart.
Forza Ferrari
i dont' think lewis had reliability issues per say in today's race, is just that he touched the wall in QUALI yesterday and that's when the problem kind of happened....and then in the race the problem kind of aggraveted....
we just need to make our car a little quicker and then alonso will do the rest, WE'RE ALL SURE OF THAT
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
Wonderful drive by both Fernando & Felipe!
Proud of the team, especially in terms of reliability and strategy.
I think Suzuka will better suit our car and Fernando should be able to extend his lead.
But, I agree that it's all down to how the car is developed over the next 3-4 races.
I don't know what is goin on in Maranello, how is it that for so many years we haven't developed a race winning car and only race winning drivers?!!
Is it SD's conservative nature? Or is it the quality of engineers?!!
If Fernando loses out on the WDC this year, he's gonna be seriously down and disappointed!
Why?! Why?! C'mon guys, pls make a race winning car, pls.......
Felipe saying on BBC that the car was brilliant today.
Forza Jules
Don't think a penalty is likely for that, it was a corner after all.
We were faster than red bull in barcelona and spa this year and suzuka is similar to them so we should be in good shape there.
Alonso onboard in suzuka last year:
Surprised to hear Fernando on the podium being interviewed by EJ.
He thinks Fingers & Hamster will keep taking each other out and getting retired alternatively and Fernando will be at peace.
Unlikely I say?!
I think Fernando knows very well at the back of his mind that he needs to win at Suzuka, Yeongam and New Delhi to be sure of that!
Alonso delighted with damage limitation
Fernando Alonso: "To win more points against three of our competitors was positive"
Fernando Alonso said his third place finish at the Singapore Grand Prix was a better result than he had hoped for going into the weekend.
Ferrari struggled to match the pace of McLaren and Red Bull throughout the weekend and Alonso started from fifth on the grid. However, he managed to finish ahead of three of his four title rivals with Lewis Hamilton, who was second heading into the weekend, retiring from the race with a gearbox problem.
"It is a very positive weekend and a very strong weekend," Alonso said. "With the four title contenders we lost points with one and with the other three we increased the advantage. When we are not quick enough, to win more points against three of our competitors was positive."
Alonso said his qualifying lap had been the key to limiting the damage in the championship standings.
"We were not very competitive this weekend and we were struggling a little bit with the pace of the car. Yesterday we managed to put together a good lap in Q3 and that was a little bit the best part of the weekend because if you put yourself at the rear [of the grid] you are in problems for the whole of the race.
"We started fifth but the start was so-so and we lost position to di Resta and then we recovered it in the first and second corner. Then we were fighting a little bit with Maldonado and the safety car arrived at the worst moment for us because we changed the tyres five laps before the safety car. So we didn't have the pit stop for free that the others had. So with all these difficulties, to arrive third is a fantastic result in terms of points."
Year 2000: R.I.P Formula 1
For a track that I have never considered a strong Ferrari track, we made it out of there ok.
I was concerned about our race pace..we finished 15 seconds down on Vettel.
I wouldve thought that our #1 driver could polish off Macs #2 driver. Whether it was tire conservation or
lack of outright pace, we couldnt do it, so Im really happy we did get 3rd for wdc points.
But, we simply cannot do this for the remaining races. Alonso would need a lot more points gap than he has at present.
Vettel/RB is coming on very strong, and Ham/Mac arent going to break at every race. Especially with Button
stiking it to us Q'ing between Alonso and Vettel/Ham with the speed of the Mac. Then there are the odd Reno/Williams/Sauber
cars that have given us quite a bit of trouble this year also, getting between us and the front runners. As seen at the finish of
Monza for example. We actually need quite a bit of improvement if we are to be in it at the end.
Another great result by Fernando, but honestly I find it hard to be satisfied with today's result. Unless we manage to improve significantly the performance of the car, I think it is just a question of time before Vettel and Hamilton get ahead of Alonso in the Championship. I really hope I'm wrong, but 6 races is a long way to go if we can't give Fernando a car that can at least challenge for victory.
I missed the podium interview. What did EJ say ?![]()

@f1zone
Schumacher handed a 10 place grid drop for shunt with Vergne
Agree as well. If Hamilton has a good day, he manages it very well.
Vettel on the other hand needs to have the car working at 100%.
Looks like a 3 horse race IMHO. The next two / three races will be very critical for Fernando.
It will likely rain as always at Suzuka, so have to prep for a wet setup just in case..
No further action against Vettel vs Button incident
