I think he would have finished 5th without the other pitstop. Everyone here had the thought of DONT HIT DRS the second time, but you really cant blame Ferrari for trying.

The pit delta was more like 15 seconds as well.

After the Malaysia front wing accident i thought it was good to see Ferrari was willing to take a risk, a sign of confidence, but this in my opinion was plain stupid.
Exactly! And if it had shot the stopper position, there was no way that it would've got fixed by just a push by the mechanics.....maybe the stopper broke or something....whatever it was....an unnecessary pitstop.....unnecessary risk.

But you never know, the traffic the extra pit put him in... Hindsight is always 20/20

There are engineers in Ferrari that have knowledge more than you and me. They did what was right. There is no possibility to question their DRS reuse

i could sense more jitters running down out pit crew than among our drivers....didnt know when a part would fail...or when a tire would give up! man that would've been scary!

It's not like they had time to examine it closely. It could have easily been a bit of rubber or stone jamming it and it would have worked fine afterwards. It would have been stupid not to see if it worked again in my opinion.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

It's very easy to criticize afterwards..you cannot predict that it won't work!! But I guess you know better!!
We are all very angry and upset by this!! But that's just racing!!

How did you miss his front wing flapping for 35 laps?

I'll go ahead and defend Felipe.

    1) Collision at the beginning of the race with Sutil and a broken front wing for more than half of the race
    2) One puncture
    3) One tire that just fell off
    4) More lousy tire degradation

It's not shocking that he wound up were he did.

Alonso has 4 more points than he did at this stage last season, but Vettel has 24 more.

Why did Massa come in so early for his first pit-stop? I was hoping he could go much longer with the hard tyres, but I guess the difference between hard and medium compound was very small after all.

Don't worry guys. Remember last year Vettel was 40 points behind Fernando at one stage and still won the championship. So, I think if we can get our act straight, we can do this too. I am still shocked by the incidents that happened today, but still we gotta move on to the next race with the hope of performing well

Problem is we only have 1 team to support.
Bring back Alfa, or Minardi with good funding.

I really want to know why the didn't change Felipe's win, that was easy and quick, no need to take risk with a broken wing, the DRS stuff I can understand it was 50%/50% but why not changing the wing?.

Maybe your right, i'm frustrated as hell man, great car, great drivers, good tyre management, improved qualifying pace, great race pace, and we're 30 points behind after two mechanical failures.
On days like these i'm probably not the most objective

Dr Ferdinand Porsche:" Nuvolari is the greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future".
Enzo Ferrari once drove with him and recalled even on bends "he never took his foot from the accelerator".

As usually life is always like that. You win some and you loose some. From this point on, Ferrari needs to score as much as possible points per race.

Ferrari = one love...one passion, nothing compares! I personally don't care about any other team at all. Although Minardi was a nice little team and I was sad to see them go. But there's absolutely NO substitute for Ferrari.

Yea, it seems logical, but still, I got almost "beaten up" here for saying that.

There are days on which everything is against you for no apparent reason.
Nobody to blame, everyone tried as hard as they could but these things just happen. Nothing you can do about it, just try even harder next time.
Ferrari, Fernando and Felipe did a good job in just keep going whatever happened.

Why to risk it so badly? Why not to wait until right before planned pit stop? Oh well, it's behind us...

Then if we waited, and it worked you would say why not use it beforehand to make up places. No win for the team.

The answer it's easy, the team believed that the DRS was OK, I refused to believe that they tossed a coin. Why they believed it was OK?, that' something that probably we will never know.
