Guess I was a little optimistic hoping for a different picture, lol. Red Bull is still faster than others. Lotus still look strong as well.

You can alway hope, but we suddenly be faster than them, I think it's a little bit to much, definitly on this track, where are car, given it's previous characteristics, shouldn't be that good.. But yeah, it's F1, anything can happen..

...so we're 3dr fastest team now instead of 4th...NOT bad i'd say

we'll get them on Sunday when the Bulls will eat their tires during the race....LOL
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

I wouldn't count to much on that, RBR doesn't seem to struggle that hard with tyres anymore..

ya never know, this weekend specially on sunday, track temp should reach 50+ degrees..and the bulls are deffenetely not the Kindest on tires...

hopefully US and lotus have the upper hand...

    but let's wait and see

That's correct, but I'm not sure that in these extreme temps we can make the difference with being kinder on tyres.. I think that Lotus will perhaps be able to do a stop less without compromising the pace, I don't think we can do so.. So for us it will be ,probably, same amount of stops as the bulls, but with perhaps less deg and therefore better pace, but I don't think that much, so a lot will depend where we are after the first stint, or doing a stop less and hoping we reach the end.. But yeah we will see.. But I think, considering the previous races, Lotus will be the strongest in the race.. Hopefully for us, Mercs and RBR will destroy the softs very fast and we won't so longer first stint, trying to avoid traffic considering lack of overtaking possibilities..

Car looks better than expected. Still wait for official driver/team quotes but I do get an impression that update are working.

Yeah, indeed, I think we are going in the right direction.. Only thing: I don't think, even with good updates, this is going to be are track.. But yeah, if they are working and we get some good data and confirmation, we can further develop for some better tracks second half..

also both our driver coming out and doing almost identical lap times, which most of the times means that Felipe is "happy" with the car which means balance should be fine

it seems Mercedes has lost its advantage over 1 lap to RB...Maybe they're trying some more conservative approach in order to save those tyres more...

Could it be, that when it's very hot on saturday during qualy, the Mercs overheat their tyres during the lap and therefore can't get the maximum out of it?

Indeed, since 2 races or so, they don't seem capable anymore of coming out and instantly do a "good" lap.. perhaps "trouble" with getting the tyres in the right range?

Let us wait for Hamilton to see whats going on with them cos Rosberg hit the traffic and made some errors on his lap...

Even Mercs losing chunks of time in final two corners. Renault engines have advantage in S3 big time.

And Massa could make another one even better with same set !!!

Hamilton did ask if a second lap after cooling the compound was the way to go on the radio.
He was told by his race engineer that Vergne was the only driver so far to have tried it, and that he was four-tenths of a second off using this familiar pattern.

well thera are teams that CAN do it !!! :)

I still don't think we can match RBR, but I think we definitly improved.. This combined with perhaps Merc "struggling" in qualy could be good.. But! let's not forget the Lotus....

Looks as if that diffuser (if it's on the car anyway) is really fixing some problems

We nned to see Lotus in action and if we can beat them in qualy (about Merc I'm not still sure if they're really that bad) we can take a challenge to RB cos I expect Merc to fall apart in race :)

I don't think that bad, but perhaps a bit struggling, that combined with perhaps a different approach because of deg.. but indeed lets wait for Lotus..
But, really, our hope in terms of strategy could be the softs, but if we need to use them in Q1, we can't really use them in the race, unless we start on medium.....
