I am willing to bet real money that in Adrian Newey's vocabulary there is no "qualy pace" or "race pace", just "pace" or "speed".

Ferrari from disappointing to embarassing! A 4th place F1 team now behind: RB, Merc, and Lotus. Lets hear what the teams has to say now. "We extracted the maximum out of the car" ???

Hamilton on team radio thanked the team for all the hard work, he never mentioned the secret CHEATING tyre test. Again on the grid today Charlie Bernie and Hembury whispering to each other, sorry guys this is not the way to run a professional sport.

Don't know what to think about this team any more they don't have the talent to build a good car for Alonso/Massa.

If they don't wake up McLaren will pass them, then we will be the 5th fastest team.
Yep, this plays on my nerves as well. They keep screaming how more testing is needed, but then they aren't interested to even go out when they can in practice.

LOL, can't believe some people are suggesting Alonso should go to Red Bull.

Alonso has proven he is a world champion, he don't need to do another easy one by going to the fastest team. What he wants now is to win a challenging one, win with Ferrari.

Last year, Alonso fight for the title was more satisfying than winning another easy title under Newey's machine

Um, nothing sad with that. Alonso has won the WDC twice, he has nothing more to prove as far as being a champion is concern. The only thing more than that is to win with Ferrari.

Schumi did the same too, left Benetton right after he won another title there to join a then struggling Ferrari. If he wanted just another title, he would have stayed at Benetton

Let's hope the first time he sees the 2014 is when he turns on his TV to watch FP1 @ Australia. This man has proven time and time again that he cannot lead this team to anything but mediocrity. Just imagine having Kimi, Button and Vettel (who are more sensitive to the car and struggle a lot if it doesn't suit them) instead of Fernando for the past 3-4 years. Domenicali, Tomzabidis and the whole untalented bunch - off you go, please.

Let's look at Ferraris last four years: the Alonso years: 1. First year the last race a strategy blunder costs Alonso a WDC in the last race. 2. Second year the Ferrari is a dog so much that Briatore also calls the car a dog, and can only manage one win. Third year, Captain crash Grosjean, takes out Alonso and almost kills him, next race Kimi takes out Alonso's rear tire and in one two week span, a 40 point WDC lead disappears. Fourth year, Ferrari has dropped to a 4th place F1 team behind RB, Merc and Lotus. So forgive me for being optimistic about the remainder of the season and the NEW 2014 car. I see more of the same as Ferrari plays catch up and will join the mid field pack. It really is sad for Alonso, arguably the best driver of this era.
Have a good summer break everyone, see you in Spa.

Just Wow, I don't normally post but this is so disappointing - just WOW - Mercedes is getting their car together/Lotus improved massively with their last upgrade - Ferrari after Spain has just imploded - no upgrades/nothing works on the car - just incredible -
The upgrades used in Canada have gone because apparently they didn't work or are track specific
Alonso & Massa can only do some much with what they have - how can you turn one of they fastest cars to start the season into 4th & getting worst
The average team bring a few upgrades and around 50% may work but with Ferrari currently nothing works - this is crazy
We are coming to point of WDC K.O - the WCC is out of the question we can't develop a good car
Look at Mercedes what a difference a year makes -
Keep my WDC dreams alive but reality speaks for itself

The only thing that keeps me calm is that when we finally reach the top (pure pace) and start winning again(like Barcelona),all this will be forgotten!!
For example, if we will have a great 2nd half(like the start of the season) even if we lose wdc, it will be a sweat defeat!!
    FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!

Yeah, have to admit we're losing the development race this season. We started strongly, but it seem the other teams have moved ahead of us.

We've heard several times that our updates did not work, and we had to revert back to older configuration. I think this is a sign that our development is having some serious issue this year.

I dont feel good about the 2014 car, no one want to use our engine except broke Sauber and little Marussia. And it's the cheapest one except the free Honda engine.
Maybe some Russian expert can help us design cars.

We kissed both titles good bye as we are used to do over the last 5 seasons.
Ferrari is already an average team with great history and we are going the Williams way.
And noone, repeat NOONE is held accountable for this long lasting disgrace.
We are not even fighting, it is getting worse and worse. SHAME!

It's quite ironic really. People complaining about Ferrari. I seem to remember the sack them all brigade wanting rid of Aldo Costa and other team members because they weren't up to scratch anymore in "Ferrari fans" eyes and now they are at Mercedes winning races and making that car fairly decent. The team is the people and you wanted rid of those people. The name might not have won for a while but those people who perhaps you should have had more faith in are.

Is over, right?, Lotus can do one less stop, RB is a great car on all fronts, and Mercedes is a best that went from destroying tyres to taking care of them better than anyone, we on the other hand go backwards.

The only rediming quality of the team is Alonso right now, he is good, but not good enough to overcome 6 cars that are clearly faster than the F138, he beat 2 of them today, 6 is impossible.

I will never lose the faith but the trend is pretty clear for Ferrari.
