I was dead wrong believing Kimi would never take Massa's #2 seat. Now that it's for sure he did, and if it had to happen, I'm glad it's him. 2014 will rain points on Ferrari, 1, 2 podiums galore! I believe Alonso is faster , more aggressive than Kimi , but Kimi is 2nd best in F1 IMO. We still will need pole pos. to beat Vettel and his rcoket, but! Who knows how the new turbos will fair out. Maybe we will have the best engine for 2014, and the new F1 Rocket Ship will be at Ferrari !
PS; Massa sempre nel mio core ! Salute ! Addi'o.
The way Schumacher talks about the issue in the video and says: "I feel like I have to protect him in many ways" It's pretty clear that this was an issue for several races. Why they didn't change it back for their defending world champion as soon as possible? Because they were favoring Massa.
Sort out the windtunnel, make sure that both drivers have handling that he needs, provide decent car and engine and the team will deliver.

Cool, so why did Stefano wait to Spain to help his favoured Felipe? And is this the same Stefano who wanted Kimi back ahead of his favourite Felipe? something does not make much sense in there. And why would Kimi come back to a team that was a relief to leave and a team that worked against him? again something does not make sense.

If things don't have to make sense then common sense has left this forum. I refuse to believe that

The decision to favor Massa came from way higher than Stefano. It was the time of the global financial crisis. Ferrari is a big team but they need money too. They had Santander knocking on their door with bags of money. For Santander Massa winning a WDC would be a jackpot because of their interests in Brazil. The crazy thing is it almost worked if it wasn't for that last corner over take by Hamilton.
When stuff doesn't make any sense, there is usually big money changing hands behind the scenes.
If KR does not complain about things in the media it does not mean that he does not care. You guys still don't get the Finnish mentality.
In the Autosprint quote Mr Domenicali specifically says that this front suspension detail was discussed several times and eventually it was improved so he did care.
"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."
To my understanding Mr Massa had his and Mr Raikkonen had his.
"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."
*If I may bring back a 2012 TSN meme*
Whatever happened to Ste's prediction of Prost getting the second seat?
I'm sorry, my mistake, you just remind me a certain kim.. oh this is not allowed to say anymore.. She was from Sweden too, talked about full moon, her love for Piquet jr, then she started to hate him, her love for Di Grassi, then she started to hate him.. But if you happen to see her, give her my greetings and ask how's her health. She also spoke so fondly about Kimi's not so blue eyes she dreamed of, your competitor perhaps?

Finnish mentality is this:
The Finn by Jorma Etto
A Finn is the one who answers when he is not asked,
asks when he is not answered,
does not answer when he is asked.
The one who loses the way, yells on the shore,
and on the opposite shore yells another of the same kind:
the forest clangs, echoes, the pines hum.
There comes a Finn and groans, is here and groans,
goes there and groans,
is as in the sauna and groans when another throws water on the stove.
That kind of a Finn always has a partner,
never is he alone, and that partner is another Finn.
And nothing separates a Finn from a Finn.
Nothing. Except the death. And the Police.
End of lesson.![]()

Next year is going to be a brilliant season, I cannot wait much longer - after hearing about the new regulations (and how RB would be taken down a peg) and now this ... yeah, it's going to be good.
Okay maybe my theory is a little bit, I still think a lot more than we know happened behind the scenes and Kimi never "lost his motivation". He even commented himself in 2009 that Ferrari letting him go wasn't about his driving performance, it was about "money talks".
