Are you serious??? That thing was so unstable under braking you could hear the car locking up and see how tentative Ric was in turning the car in because the rear was so unstable. As for the exit, that engine is clearly struggling. The power delivery is no where near linear. They are in big trouble.

I just mentioned that Ferrari was back on power earlier, no further analysis really.

    Ok. No problem.
Alonso got on the power earlier because he got the car turned in earlier.
Ric's corner was gone the moment he braked for it.

Either extend it for everyone, or no extension at all. Anything else will be unfair, and I hope Ferrari protest it should that happen (as should Mercedes).

Yes that would only be fair for everyone, also it would not surprise me if all teams would be given another chance to test for reliability issues.

If this is true, they could protest all they like, it wouldn't help.

"It has emerged that one of the items on the agenda for Friday's meeting of the F1 strategy group (effectively the rule-making body) is for an extension to the deadline for homologating engines. This is 28 February - ie today. Manufacturers have to submit a specification for the season and changes are only allowed for reliability, cost-saving and safety reasons.
"Renault had indicated on Thursday that they were not worried about the deadline, but it seems they were being a bit disingenuous, as Auto Motor Und Sport are reporting it was the French company that asked for the extension. It could well pass, given the way voting works in the strategy group. Bernie Ecclestone and FIA president Jean Todt have six votes each, the six teams involved one each. Votes pass by a simple majority. So if Ecclestone and Todt think it's a good idea - for whatever reason - then it doesn't matter what the teams, who include Mercedes, McLaren and Ferrari, vote."

    Bit of a stat:

That's the sixth quickest time overall across the two Bahrain tests thus far, behind Perez (1.35.290 test day 2).

    Quickest time is Rosberg's 1.33.283.

Oh how I wish people would get their English tenses correct. "His dog Roscoe was sitting on his lap" or 'His dog Roscoe sat on his lap" But not WAS SAT ON HIS LAP. Makes my blood boil every time I hear it. Rant over.
