Glad this season is over, shame it's the end of Fernando with Ferrari (for now). On to 2015 and I hope we have a rocket ship as we are going to need it with our driver line up.....

I think it's Alonso saying thanks to the team. Also glad to see everyone laughing and having a good time, they deserve it after a long season.

well we still have the most team titles whether constructor or engine supplier. In the faces of mclaren, williams, mercedes and renault fans.
And we still have the most driver titles whether as constructor or engine supplier too.

    we are still the best.

Double points in Abu Dhabi so the counts it like 2 races

ha, ha....couldn't have said it any better mate...with kimi that looks like he's sleeping most of the time while driving and with Pettel needing a super rocket, double blown diffuser, F-duct and various other gizmos that would make a car being glued and on rails on track...that is the ONLY way he'd WIN a championship for us in a Ferrari...

but then again taht is just my opinion, others may not thing the same as me...

and YES, Fernando will be missed and arguibly being one of the BEST drivers to extract everything out of a car that''s been given to him, even if it may not be as quick as the opposition's...

So we need a rocket ship just for 2015 season? To me it looks like it was needed in 2014 too despite of the different drivers.

Alonso would have won us titles with a car on par with our rivals, Kimi and Vettel are going to need a car advantage.

Well the difference is, Alonso only needs a car that has the raw pace, even if it's unstable. For example, you can have powerful engine that gives great top speed and acceleration, but the aceleration may not be very smooth.

Vettel on the other hand seems to shine when the rear end of the car is very stable. Characteristic like blown diffuser and good engine mapping which was Red Bull's strength in past years played into his advantage. However, this year, all of those are gone. Red Bull car isn't that bad, just ask Ric. However, due to the lack of blown diffuser, and the high torque turbo PU, the rear of the car is more unstable than ever. A coincidence that Vettel struggled against his team mate with this new characteristic? I don't think so.

So for his sake, Ferrari would need to work hard on power delivery. Our power delivery hasn't been the best (in addition to the lack of raw power).

IMHO a car on par with the rivals this season would be called a rocket ship.

A rocket ship would not be matched by a rival hence it being called as such, so no.

But the point remains, we will need a car advantage to win with Kimi or Seb.

Interviewer: “The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you?”
    Kimi: “It protects my head.”

Agree with you that SV is to prove his 4 WDC in a less dominant car. In his first year of doing that he failed massively.

    Don't think so. I won't be surprised to see vettel/kimi next year in positions 5 - 6 ...
Where Alonso finished this year ( 6th).

I feel alonso was given certain more privileges inside our team then the one sitting besides him. We will see next year.

Team only needs a a car which has decent handling and is responsive to setup changes. And a bit more power.
