I have been reading somewhere that its an ERS delivery issue ?
I have some high hopes on the rear testing we did and the front wing, i hope they provide with some significant boost in pace.

    Edit:

Raikkonen will test for us in Barcelona.

the way we deliver the power to the wheel, isnt as good as Mercs. Hence why they seem so good on handling out of corners. We know what we got to fix, and trust me all issues are, being addressed.

    Grazie Mille.

But the title of the thread is F14 T development and news . There are plenty of threads regarding team news. I have a hard time going through pictures here, as the thread gets bloated by rumors and off topic bickering. I am sure some other members will agree too.

    F1 show biz 2016 :
Toto - "Ferrari are a real threat" .... Nico - "Awesome, everything is just awesome" .....Lulu - "Mental strength man, lifestyle man, I'll drive at 400% as ever man".... and then suddenly a wild Bull out of nowhere slams into a Ferrari.

If you do, report the post.

The only thread we have regarding team news, is the news and quotes at race weekends.

I like the optimistic light you bring and i agree and hope the answers are the parts that we have been testing this weekend.

nah.. I am too lazy. Anyways, my earnest request to all members here, please try to maintain the thread's efficiency, as it gets taxing and disillusional sometimes to go through this thread. This may dissuade some of the technical members here from participating in active discussion.

At this point anything will benefit us as we need more data from different parts and to see what works and what not . I think is our last chance to make a comeback this year...

Please remind me if we trialed the fatter rear body work in Jerez, and whether it is front axle limited circuit.
The only possible explanation regarding the use of undercut bodywork in Spain just after using the slimmer overcut one maybe because F14 T's inherent problems with balance and traction out of slow corners caused them to shift weight/ ballast to the rear. I doubt the introduction of new MGU-K was much of a factor in altering the bodywork. In Bahrain tests, i think we misinterpretated the heat factor causing the expansion of cooling outlets. In China we saw Ferrari using a reasonable rake, cause the CG of the car there allowed it do so. In Spain i was dissapointed seeing the cars so low to the ground. Its a subtle tradeoff balance between aero and mechanical efficiency.

I saw on facebook, think its autosport, where Merc has these odd aero things on their floor, and RB have these little channels with tiny humps within them for aero.
These guys are thinking way outside the box.

Back to open wheel nuts. Upper flap of FW shallower profile or the cascade plane is higher making it more pronounced.

I dont think its that simple. The extra drag which it brings with larger mass can be negated by the amount of high pressure air it channels to the low pressure zone created in wake of front tyres, thereby reducing drag of the turbulent air. Also its not about the size which cause drag, it also depends on Cd of the contact surface of the device. As long it doesnt disrupt the y250 zone, it wont be much of a difference.

Increased ventilation so the brake pads don't quack.

Because we are the only team that use different front suspension than the other teams.
Everything must be different and opposite the others because we want to be innovative.

I found it a little too much coming from him (and Massa before), they are no longer in Ferrari, they should shut up.

I find this funny, actually :).
If, he says so, it must be so, huh? Yes, they are currently better than the Ferrari. BUT with the amazing correlation between WT and Track, plus the Merc engine, shouldn't they be hunting down the Merc Works team - race in, race out? Don't get me wrong, Williams has been my second favorite Team, all-time. But these kind of comments from Rob and Felipe Baby, it does look like they're hitting out at SF.

    I Agree in some points.
but maybe it shows an upgraded windtunnel is not a must have to make the working upgrades. You need to have proper ideas. For example if you put a carrot on the car nose and the wind tunnel shows 5 points of downforce improvment, this doesn't mean by putting the carrot on the car nose you should expect 5 points of downforce improvement on the track.

Never mind that it's true. It's hurtful to point out that Ferrari could be so inept. So, he and Massa should spare the tifosi's feelings and just be quiet.

Just got back from Italy where I watched the Spain GP in a bar with a load of Italians who were desperate to change channels to football, such was the disappointment and seemingly un-ending inability to get the F14-T to work properly. It was disheartening and embarrassing and I almost felt like leaving before the end of the race. I don't think any further debate on the race is called for, so just as well the thread has been closed, but where the hell do we go from here with such an apparent lack of co-ordination in the team? I despair.
