That's what we we're saying after 2011.. After 2012 we we're saying that the ban of "full time use of DRS during qualy" would hurt RBR as wel..

There was no ban at that front. They were still happily using it (in a different way) right until now. We were soft in 2011 with agreeing to revert back to allow off-throttle blowing after Silverstone. But now, when the exhaust (only single 1) will be pointing out in the middle of nowhere, it finally looks like it will be end to that. It took FIA just 2 more years to make it right...

I must say, I hadn't thought that Silverstone 2011 was the key predictor of 2014 Ferrari performance. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm just curious why it wasn't the predictor of 2011 success.

With regards to Ferrari factory backed LMP1 programme, F1 team would have to fold. Luca has always, always said that we couldnt run both to to 120% competitive and win. One or the other, that is how it is. My dream is to see fully backed LMP1 programme, but also my dream to see many F1 WDC WCC titles.

But, for now we have amazing team (factory)AF Corse and drivers in the WEC winning races and titles in the GTE Pro, we also very good teams in GTE AM. So right now that for me is more than enough. Now form next year, i like/want our/my beloved F1 team to start winning races (many) and titles (again)

Don't forget Scuderia Corsa that won the team's championship and Alessandro Balzan who won the Driver's championship in the 2013 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series.

Because we (Ferrari) allowed FIA to return the rules to the state it was before Silverstone. Ferrari said they have done it "for the good of the sport"... I am still not sure letting Seb to win the championship so easily was any good for F1 though.

    Ferrari 2014 F1 car - Development & News

While I agree that RedBull's primary
weapon has been blowing the diffuser but they have been extremely superior aerodynamically. They struggled a bit in the beginning of 2012 before sorting out the exhaust & in 2011 Silverstone. I expect a really close fight in 2014, hopefully our performance & reliability would come out on top.

    Source?!
If this is true then it could mean that the team has done a very good job and trying to keep the car and the engine secret until the latest possible moment.

Quite agree, Rob, and I've always felt that trying to run an F1 and Sportscar team would dilute efforts to both, and I'd also just be happy to see us back to our rightful place as winners in F1. Here's to 2014 and a WDC/WCC double.

The double nose tip idea is one of the proposed solution to next year rule. The 2nd tip needs to be lower to meet the rule requirement, but I think it's certainly a possible solution.

This tip creates a hole which is illegal. A slit would make it structually weak. A single connection in the centre connecting higher tip to lower maybe possible. Thing is there are many solutions you can use but no point for the sake of being clever its what works best. I think top teams will all have the same solution with the thin central tip protruding from higher nose behind.

Yes, I am talking about little black and white!
Unfortunately money is so much powerful than tradition, that can virtually buy anything! On the other hand one cannot live without sponsor money... So some concessions must be done...

Ferrari F1 car hasn't been all red since the 1960's. The main color of Ferrari F1 car of course has to be red, ALWAYS, no question about that, but a little bit of other different added colors make the car even more beautiful and exciting imo. It would be a little bland if the car was entirely red.

Well, that F2008 is not really all red now is it?

I thought you were talking about a completely red Ferrari F1 car like this one for example...

Anyhow, let's simply agree that we both want Ferrari F1 cars to be red, ok?

This was pre sponsor times. This also is not looking good for me
Completely agree with you. More red, and less white on the body of the car. Wing can be black (preferred), or white.

Good to see Fernando and Andrea having REALLY close look at the beauty. Maybe getting ideas for 2015-16:xmastongue:

That was the FIA gala, and if i had the chance to get that close to 1 of those (roll on Silverstone 6hrs:xmasbiggrin:) i would be the same.
