One area where the Ferrari does seem to excel is under braking, with the change down through the gears audibly more seamless than any other car, which AUTOSPORT technical guru Gary Anderson suggests could derive from playing with a zero torque loss downshift.
We don't know for sure, but perhaps Ferrari is ahead of the game with such technology.
    That sounds really great.

Only homologated parts can be used. If an engine is changed it is no longer the homologated engine and cannot be used.

Not sure if the F14-T looks better than all our other previous cars since 2008, but I definitely agree that this design looks really awesome and I also love the livery, there could be a little less black parts but other than that it looks simply amazing. The more I look at our car, the more I like it.

I'll never understand why people get upset and call it ugly. Any car with wings and open wheels painted in Rosso Corsa with a Prancing Horse logo will never be ugly to me.

I didn't like live sound of V8 engines cause of all of throttle blowing and engine maps, but V6 has same farting sound and sounds like old Lancia without exhaust.
I could be wrong, but I think the current V6 engine sound is dominated by exhaust sound and turbo sound. The old V8 high pitch sound comes from the moving parts of the engine itself, but the V6 reminds me of those loud road cars with oversized exhaust.

I've also seen many people who attended the test saying they no longer need to wear those ear plugs with the V6 engine.

Thanks Suzie, and that Williams lookes very pretty beside our ant-eater nose, what a pity it doesn't have a Ferrari engine and is also red, then we wouldn't feel quite so bereft!

So, Mercedes looks good. McLaren looks good. Ferrari? It's hard to tell. Lotus, we don't know yet. And Red bull, well... :)

Maybe RedBull are learning F1 isn't all about fancy aero concepts.
After years of being kept constant and relegated to another device from which aero gains can be made, the engine is back to prominence. Good. It is the most important part of an automobile so it should be this important.

RedBull are finally learning that. What was that line our great founder said about Aerodynamics?

You are 100% right, can not help not to laugh. But as we all know karma is a ...... And on the other hand let's be better sportsman than them and not to laugh on other misfortune. Let's stand tall in victory and in defeat!

Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)

If it was Mercedes or Lotus i would feel sorry for them! But after last season and their crying about tyres , i really don't care what happens to Red Bull! Four years in a row is more than enough!

Of course he got kicked out. As if you would choose him over Kimi. Im sorry but Massa's time with Ferrari was up a long time ago imo. Good luck to him, i hope he does well for Williams.

I think you may need to add Williams to that list this year. Time will tell, but both Massa and Bottas have looked good, especially on the harder tires (hard/winter). As for Lotus, they have lost so many really good people at every level in the team; driver, designer(s), principal, it will be difficult for them to repeat last years performance.

I didn't know they were on track same time. That is, if your rant was taken from that picture of Williams and Ferrari side by side.
If it was, just switch Kimi to Fernando and it looks fine...

oh, the famous line of MASTER ENZO FERRARI!!!!

AERODYNAMICS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T BUILD ENGINES....Amen
although AERO will still play a good role in today's V6 era engines, the engine itself will play a BIGGER role....me thinks

Forza FERRARI and may this year be OUR YEAR....we've been waiting for this for SOOOOOOOOO LOOOOONG!!!

It would have been great if we had Williams as our engine customer. Not just because Massa is driving it, but they have been pretty well prepared for the testing as well, putting the Merc engine through plenty of laps.

I wouldn't have faith in the Williams sponsorless glory runs. If you remember back to last year Williams was also putting up good lap times during testing. Then they scored 5 points all year. Time will tell.

Williams have a good engine now and at least one very good driver. I donīt think we can compare them to last years team anymore.

Talking about drivers.....I wonder how Maldonado feels right now, having seen what the Williams car does and knowing the situation Lotus is in .
